I mean his effort level is unacceptable. To gloss over that is criminal. Blame the system because it is trash, but the system isn't preventing other guys from trying on defense, isn't forcing Khris to take pull up Js without passing, to ISO more than you play off other players, etc.
Khris is a shooter who doesn't give you the benefits of spacing other shooters do because of his play style. Some day people here will look beyond the % and see it.
Middletons play style would be completely different on a well coached team. Pop does not allow him to dribble like he does, he would have more energy for sound defense. You don't even need a Pop level coach, a Snyder level coach would clearly be good enough
Watch his body language. His play style is not all coaching and that's blatantly obvious. It's also no coincidence that Khris played "the right way" very well for one year, got the recognition for it, then has gone away from it more and more every single year since. Classic case of a guy cutting his teeth as an effort/defense/shooting guy and then getting an ego and thinking he should do more. Other examples are Demarre Carroll and this year the prime example is Jae Crowder. That's where we are heading.
