Beltran Probably Headed to the DL

Post#1 » by Jose7 » Sun Jul 29, 2007 10:34 pm

Abdominal tear.

I really want to like this guy, I love watching him in CF but it's hard to appreciate what he can do when he is hardly on the field to do it... Just get well and come back healthy and ready to play.

Uh-oh. We survived a tough part of the schedule just recently, but this doesn't bode well for us. Hopefully, the guys coming back from the DL can pick up the slack.

If it's a tear and not a strain, even if he comes back before the end of the year, he's going to be ineffective.

Well at least Milledge is on a tear right now, thats the good thing. However nobody can honestly say that Beltran is not important to our September hopes. It has to be a strain, because a tear would probably take him out for the rest of the season. Either way he has been nagged with this injury all year long. Part of the reason he has sucked a bit, get healthy while we still can enjoy a lead.
