I swear, more than half the time he runs around with the ball pretending that he can find an open teammate, just so the clock winds down and he can jack up the shot.

Yeah, he's got to keep shooting them and really keep practicing them. Luckily he's so efficient 2 he still is shooting 50% overall even though he is 1-5 from 3. (8-13 otherwise)

But even if he can get that 3 up to say 30% or especially like 32%+ it will make a huge difference.

They have 13 players under 25. It will be interesting to see how their rebuild goes. If Dunn and Valentine can pan out, those two, Lavine and Markkanen isn't a bad start. Particularly if one of Portis and Mirotic end up being anything.

...and even if he turns over his right shoulder he shoots right-handed which is easily blockable.

He's having the best year of his career so far. But since he's not part of the team's future anymore, he has fallen into 'scapegoat' category. Wouldn't be the first to suffer such fate. I mean he wasn't anything to brag about prior to this year, but now that he finally doesn't take mid range shots anymore and is focusing on other aspects of the game, he's looking a lot better. Yet some remarks about him paint him like he's having the worst season of his career while it's the opposite.
