Nashty & Cactus: Game 23 @ Detroit

Post#1 » by batsmasher » Thu Nov 30, 2017 1:54 am

Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

Trailing by 30 at the half seems to be our go to strategy at the moment.

Haha. I know. A vent post on my part. T me up, somebody!

From what I recall:

-3 Len- I don't even know anymore. Goes from a double-double to doing nothing right the next night.
-2 Chriss- Our starting PF should be producing more than this. Bad shooting and rampant fouling is not going to cut it.
-1 Bender- Made very little impact. Where is the mask Bender we got to know in the Milwaukee game?

I'm not giving pluses to anyone in a game we almost lost by 40 in.

+3 Booker: Literally seems like the only person that can shoot the ball on our team. He was harrassed and doubled all night long and still shot 7-8 and 6-6 from the line. I'm scared to have seen what the score would have been without him.
+2 Jackson: Good game all around from him and gives me some encouragement. He would have had some more assists if our players could finish and hold onto the ball (cough Len cough)

I honestly can't think of anyone else that deserves a +. Monroe might be one of the laziest players I've seen.

-1 Ulis is too short
-1 Booker got bested by Bradley
-1 Dragan let Tobias get hot
-3 TJ was useless with a big, physical SF on him

+2 Jackson
