His steal at the end of the game was big time. He has to be more aware in that situation that we need a three there. Should have dribbled it out to get a step back three or call a TO after getting the ball. BI showed a lot of fight in this game. I like it

I thought BI made a great decision there. There's a higher chance of him scoring 1v1 on Durant than the team being able to hit a 3 after a timeout. It would have been stupid if he pulled up from 3 in transition (ala KCP). Without a doubt BI was going to either score on KD or draw a foul. An AND1 would have been perfect, but oh well...

The only reason that play looked bad is because we didn't rebound curry's missed FT. Ingram's 2 free throws set it up so we could tie the game on a 2. all we had to do was get that FT rebound. I don't get the reasoning that you go for a 3, best bet is to get the easy 2, then foul. If they make both FT's then you try the 3 next possession. Scoring quick 2 instead of taking time off clock to set up a 3 is the best idea because it gives more chances for the other team to miss a free throw, and once that happens you don't even need a three pointer to tie it.

I was really surprised last night about this game. I thought it would be a blow out. And early on, the lack of energy in the building and our start was really bad. I was surprised this didn't balloon from a 10 point deficit to a 20 or 30 point deficit.

Credit the fight. Brandon was unbelievable. He averaged 9 points a game last year, and really, showed not a lot of NBA skills other than being long. He currently around 16 PPG, which is a HUGE jump. He's absorbing contact, finishing with both hands in the paint, and getting to whatever spot on the floor he wants. He went right at KD last night and outplayed him.

Ball was good. Randle was unbelievable again. He HAS to be involved with the core of this young group going forward. Clarkson was good as well. KCP bounced back after an awful start.

I really wish we'd move Brook to the second unit and start Julius. My only complaint, other than the mental mistakes down the stretch.

This game resonated a lot w me even though it was a loss. A hell of a fight put on by our team. I love Brandon I've been believing this since long ago , he will be one of the future Lakers greats
Kobe Bryant forever
GO LAKERS
8-)
I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

They dont.

That is why we need someone like Nance or Thomas Bryant at center. I expect the roster to take another huge upgrade over this summer plus adding someone like PG and a few more pure shooters.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!

Lonzo Ball played very well against the Bucks in Milwaukee, but almost every other game I get to see your Lakers on national television shows me a different Lonzo Ball. What do you Lakers fans think Lonzo Ball's ceiling is as an NBA player? Superstar? All-Star? Decent Starter? Average? 6th man? Journeyman backup? End-of-bencher? Flop?

He hasn't played well offensively in the National TV games other than this Golden State game.

I see his floor as a decent starter and his ceiling as a super star. He will add strength and finish around the rim better with time, and even if he doesn't improve his shot drastically, the percentages will still get a little better. So you're looking at a guy that would probably average 12 PPG, 8 RPG, 10 APG, 2 SPG and almost a BPG for his career once he gets a little stronger and the team gets better shooting around him. That's a really good player.

If he gets that 3PT shot up to around 38%, that unlocks his development even more so.

First of all I said in the other Game Thread against Sacramento

Very Simple Brandon Ingram is a superstar and if anyone in here doesn't see that then they don't know Basketball.

Like I pointed out his ability to get to the basket off of the dribble hasn't been seen in this organization since Kobe Bryant. his combination of athletiscm and Shooting ability remind me of Kobe when he came out for the Draft I scouted him called the Bill Ryder show on AM570 la sports and said this guy looks like Kobe Bryant to me and it's very simple. if you watch the Lakers and watch lakers baskeball you would see that. even the way he finishes looks like Kobe and I'm talking Afro Kobe.

Kobe's shot wasn't always the best but when Ingrams shot gets where it is going to be at yeah Superstar Level. he's already there the only reason he isn't there is because we don't feature him the way we should. if he got the touches in this offense he should get he would easily average 25 points a game. if you watched him in College you would see Pure scorer who could score at will and no one can defend him when he's going to the basket.

Look his Wow moment we saw 32 points against the Warriors and Kevin Durant it's one of those games that should always run on the Lakers station.

And the idiots on the general Boards are Dumb Monkey's How can you say that Ingram is a bust or Ingram is like when CJ Scored 40 come on get off the Haterraid of Lakers. give the props when the props are do. the same idiots that clowned Russell when he put his 40 up or 38 on the Nets. the same idiots that clowned Lonzo when he got 29 on the suns. no Laker props.

Getting back to Ingram that's why I stand by my Statement that I would rather have Brandon Ingram then Ben Simmons yeah I said it. I said it before the draft and I'll say it now. I was trippin thinking Philly would draft Ingram and we would have Simmons. Simmons is a great facilitator great scorer he can get the ball to everyone. he's athletic he can rebound. but he can't shoot. and as you saw in the finals with the Warriors you need shooting. as KD showed.

I want the Scorer. Magic didn't pick Ingram that is Kupchack and you all want to get on here and rip Kupchack but the dude knew drafting don't tell me well it was obvious to draft Ingram. he picks superstars. and he picked us a superstar. when you put that with Russell he did great for us. We'll see what Lonzo does that's Magic's pick and Kuzma is Magics pick.

But one thing is for sure Laker Fans are the most spoiled Fans in the NBA We get Kobe and Now we get a Superstar in Ingram. I don't want to hear shlit about Luke. we got a star lets watch this star go beastmode.

And Can we just feature Ingram now. he's not going to ask for the ball just get him the Ball. Lonzo looked great he was going at Curry. I liked his scoring. just do that consistently and keep getting Brandon Ingram the ball. your job is to Get Brandon Ingram the ball. Be Ingrams westbrook be Ingrams Curry make your shots when you have them. but get that Ball to Brandon Ingram. so great to see this game and so happy For Brandon Ingram. I want to know who were the guys who were all for Brandon Ingram during the draft. you all should be applauded.

Finally got to catch the game. Clarkson is playing like the way I was hoping he could play for this young core. I'm surprised with how Randle has played this season. I always expected him to develop a three point shot and be a threat on offense but I never imagined him developing into a defensive stopper. I'm pleased with his development as it gives the Lakers even more versatility on the defensive end.

I was always on the keep Clarkson and Randle boat but was always willing to part with them if it meant getting two superstars. Now I find myself wanting to keep the both of them going forward.
