ESPNCavaliers go for 10 in a row vs. Hawks
One of the Cleveland Cavaliers' most unexplainable losses during their disappointing 5-7 start came at home on Nov. 5 against a rebuilding and injury-depleted Atlanta Hawks team that was riding an eight-game losing streak.
Cleveland plays the Hawks in Atlanta on Thursday night to close November, and the Cavaliers are in a much better place than they were a few weeks ago.
James said after the loss to the Hawks that the Cavaliers needed to string together good games to get on track, and they subsequently did just that.
Cleveland (14-7) comes to Philips Arena on a nine-game winning streak and is starting to close in on the Boston Celtics for the best record in the Eastern Conference despite being without Isaiah Thomas, likely until January, and having Derrick Rose and Tristan Thompson injured.
The Cavaliers will be playing their third game in four days while the Hawks (4-16) have had a four-day break since a 112-78 home loss to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Coach Bud had the guys putting in serious work during the long layoff.
I expect them to come out sharp and put a serious scare into the Cavs.

We beat the Cavs before at their place...why not rough them up a bit at our place?

So Lebron is still whining about not getting foul calls when he drives. How ridiculous that the start of the league who gets more benefit of the doubt than any other player is publicly complaining. But I digress.
Should we start a pool on how many times he goes to the line against the Hawks tonight. 10,15,20?

I will say 24, that's how many Ben Simmons 'a rookie' had last night.
Edit: 24 in the 4th quarter?? - is that right????

The cutest part of that whole kerfuffle were the comments by Kial Korver who said STTE, "Aw man, when you play against 'im, you think 'Aw man, he get all tha calls' but when you play with 'im you think, 'Aw man, he don't get none o' tha calls.'"
It's ok, Kial. We know you have to say that or risk being fitted out.
We might lose the game but I have a pretty strong idea that, somewhere along the way, emoLove is gonna get baptised by JC.

Is it any coincidence that the Cavs have started playing better without Rose as their starting PG?

I'm officially dubbing this, Tweet of the Day:
This guy...he exhibits all the characteristics that Josh, Dennis and Teague never did. I wish we could have seen him and Horford play together.

After 3 hours in the service, they pass the offering plate around and you're like, "Wait a minute, didn't we already do this." The usher looks at you and says STTE, "Naw, that was for the building fund. This is the real offering."

After 3 hours, you're too tired to fight it. Forget water torture, they need to send terrorists to Baptist chu'ch in the south in the Summer.
Ok, I feel like I went too far. Self-ban

Re: Game Thread: Cavs in Atlanta 11/30

The King. Crying to the refs? Nothing new here. He just tells them how to call the game. In fact, he told
them how wrong they were in his last game. He objected so much that they asked him to go to the dressing
room and not come back.
Are you in shock? I am. This never happened to him before. Tonight, just to prove how wrong they were
and how bad he was treated, expect him to take it out on the Hawks. Pushing, just to see how far he can
go. Then, none too gently reminding the officials about how wrong they are and how great he is.

Revenge can be a bitter pill to swallow. Hawks apparently haven't been sitting on their duff since their last
game. That was a long time ago and a bad loss. Bud has had them working hard, getting ready for tonight.
Cavs love to score from downtown and "The King" loves to run over people inside. Love carried the team
in their last game after King James was ask to leave.
Cleveland will try to blow us away. Atlanta will try to be stubborn, not giving them anything free. Should
be an exciting night. If the Hawks can score from downtown, play good defense and hit their free throws,
then, look out Cavs. You're in Hawk country!!

Make sure it's the summertime when the AC is broken. That's a real 'come to Jesus moment'.

Man, we were right in it until the end, great fight from the team.
The most important thing now is the health of John Collins. Can only hope that he doesn't miss any time because his development is the single most important thing this season.
