What is going on is all these lecherous old (and young) men are being held accountable for their behavior. Women are different from us but they are still our equals. Too many men just see them as 'the next one on the list' (so to speak).

I don't think a guy should lose his job over simply an allegation so I hope the claims are being properly investigated prior to action taking place. Other than that, I'm beyond ok with all this coming to a head. It's about time.

The bygone days are over and the chickens are coming home to roost. I'd fit more idioms and sayings into that sentence but I'm tired and about 50 years too young to know all of them. News and entertainment has been run like it's the 50s and a scene out of Mad Men for far too long. A lot of guys and a few women are somehow just now figuring out that no, it's not acceptable to smack the waitresses' ass to make your coffee snappy or engage your secretary over the work desk. More and more folks are sweating bullets with each successive pillar that drops.

For far too long women have been quiet on this issue. They have found their collective voices.

I always hated Lauer. So smug and condescending. People, and men especially, think when they reach a position of money, power, or fame that they got there because of their greatness and they deserve everything they want. When in reality most (not all) got there with a lot of luck and help from others.

Has there ever been a coaching search/hire that's been a bigger clustergaggle than Tennessee's right now. Oh, I know one, the last time Tenn hired a coach.

The only thing funnier than this Vols dumpster fire is Lane Kiffin's continuous trolling about it on Twitter.

ESPN with even more layoffs.

Read on Twitter

It's 100% hindsight, but the fat contracts they handed out for NBA & NFL TV rights -- combined with the dwindling subscriber base was -- a huge strategic mistake.

ESPN is no longer a mandatory channel of many cable packages, and as a result, their revenue stream has fallen precipitously just as their expenses have risen immensely.

Future TV contracts will have to take this into account as it's just not sustainable to keep paying more for those sports rights. Especially as NFL ratings erode over time.

I don't know if you guys are keeping up with the Mueller investigation, but this is some of the most riveting stuff I've ever heard. This has a chance to go down as one of the defining moments of this era. Up there with 9/11 and Watergate.

Michael Flynn is concluding a plea deal with prosecutors. Trump should be very worried.

This is the biggest development in the Trump-Russia story yet.

Flynn will plead guilty to a single count of lying to the FBI on or around January 24 about conversations with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016, the Office of the Special Counsel announced Friday. It’s important to note that he did not admit to colluding with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

In the first week of the Trump presidency, Flynn was questioned by the FBI, in which he reportedly denied contact with Kislyak during the transition. In the same week, then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates warned the White House that intelligence showed Flynn had been misrepresenting his conversations with Kislyak, and that he was vulnerable to Russian blackmail. The White House did nothing about this until it leaked to the press a few weeks later.

If there were collusion, the thinking goes, Flynn very well may have known about it.

That’s probably why Mueller wanted Flynn to strike a deal — one where Flynn likely agreed to a lesser sentence in exchange for giving an honest accounting of what he knows about Trump-Russia ties.

Flynn Admits to Lying, Says Trump Team Knew of His Russia Talks

  • Trump’s ex-security adviser says he called Mar-a-Lago
  • Flynn now providing details to special counsel Mueller

Flynn, 58, said Trump’s team asked him to make contact with Russians and that he told incoming administration what he was doing. Flynn called a senior official from the transition team for guidance before talking to the Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., and then reported back to the transition team after the call.
Bloomberg News

This is huge.

This is pretty terrifying stuff, kiddos. We already knew that Russia interfered during the election. Now we know that Trump intentionally sought their aid.

And sought to cover it up by interfering with any subsequent investigations.

Truth is, Obama fired Flynn and warned Trump against naming Flynn as National Security Advisor because of US intelligence indicating deep ties with foreign contacts.

Short of a criminal indictment of Trump, I just don't see any of this making a difference because no one who supports Trump will care that he contacted the Russians.
