You dont think Monk will be capable of 40 point games in two years when hes Mitchells age? He's 19 and barely played and hes already had a 17 point quarter. Booker literally scored 70 in a game when he was like 20.

I like Mitchell a lot but i think its too early to be disappointed with the Monk pick. He'll never be on Mitchells level defensively, but i think he has the better offensive ceiling. Monk actually has a higher standing reach than Mitchell too, so if he can add some strength he could at least be not bad on defense. He seems committed enough and gives effort.

I am happy and sad with Mitchell's game. Happy because he's in my fantasy team but sad because he we could've gotten him — which is the case for a **** ton of players.

I’ll trade you Mitch for Curry and Durant.

This is how it feels when we defend the perimeter sometimes. JK but seriously that is some Tyson Chandler circa Bobcats era Tyson Chandler level effort.

Seeing Mitchell drop 40 the other night and Devin Booker 46 last night just pisses me off.

The Nets got the #2 and #3 pick from the 2005 NBA Draft. Good haul for a team that has traded away so many future 1st rounders.

So, my mom sees Elfrid Payton in a Target near downtown Orlando this morning - he's buying what appears to be a single loaf of white bread (and nothing else). I know they have a game against the Nugs tonight - I now choose to believe Elfrid eats an entire loaf of white bread before each game as part of his pregame ritual.

1) Lure the sparrows from my hair with a plate of birdseed
2) Buy a loaf of white bread at Target. Eat in the Escalade in the parking lot.
3) Practice missing 100 3's
4) Showtime!

Maybe he needs extra starch to keep that hair in place?

(Honestly I'm in awe that he is able to play with that.)
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Had a long discussion about this the other night when watching us fumble our way to a win against ORL.

On defense, I imagine it could be a useful distraction. Maybe he's going for an angler fish type of thing - luring opposing offensive players in for the steal. But, when he's shooting it's gotta be like another hand in his face. Plus, it just looks stupid.

It is really neat that Hornets fans are holding Jeremy Lin themed parties even though he is no longer on the team. He must have made a major impression on the children during his time in Charlotte. The tweet is directed at his foundation, so I wonder if the child is one of the beneficiaries of the charity events he did with the Charlotte school system while he was here.

article in today's WSJ about how Houston is staggering Harden & Paul's minutes. Hope the "innovation" spreads to our coaching staff . ..
Too many NBA teams still resist staggering their best players, leaving themselves vulnerable with their stars on the bench at the same time, even though every shred of information suggests they should. And that’s because it’s trickier than it appears on paper. The only way that staggering works is when each player is willing to do things a little differently.

Paul now comes out with roughly seven minutes left in the first quarter, which is right around the time when he used to settle into a rhythm, and he comes back for Harden about four minutes later, even though Harden has traditionally rested at the beginning of the second quarter. That first substitution is the key. It’s what allows the Rockets to set their rotations for the whole game. Paul and Harden can start the first and third quarters and end the second and fourth quarters together, and it’s all because they alternate orchestrating the team in between.

To put it another way: Houston has taken advantage of its personnel to be really good pretty much all the time.

“We try to play a core group of eight or nine guys,” D’Antoni said in an interview before the season, “and make sure our second team is as good as our first.”

why tf doesn't every team do this? It seems so obvious
