Sample size. Had he made 2 more shots and percentages would look the same.

Well, actually 5 more. As far as sample size, the November number is, as I mentioned, almost double the sample size. Hopefully it's just a shooting slump.
Woops. I took the October numbers for my (mistaken) calculation.

The last two games, in the second half Booker was forcing things from the 3. In the Lakers game he was trying to break his record, and in the Bulls game, they were trying to milk the clock and he had to force up a few heavily contested 3's at the end of the shot clock. Both were a little bit of forcing things and them not working out.

There it is, Booker is actually injured. Inflammation in his toe again. We've been speculating that something was off with him the last 2 games and now we know why

If he is injured then just sit him. I know this would make Suns games not much enjoyable but his long term health is more important.

For sure. Added bonus: Sacramento and/or Brooklyn could catch us during our road trip. If Book does not play against Chicago and we lose there as well it's highly possible that we go 0-6.

As talented as Booker is, Phoenix has only won 32 games since the start of last season. Kyrie Irving, who played for some bad Cavaliers teams early in his career, sympathizes with the young star.

"I'll tell you right now, it's a tough position to be in," Irving said. "You look back at some of the great players that have been on a similar journey, and a lot of the attention, a lot of the scrutiny that comes with it, because every loss that comes at a fault is yours. Everyone's going to pinpoint, whether it be your defense, whether it be the shots that your taking, whether it be a pass that you're not making, they'll find something that's not good enough.

"I feel like he's doing an incredible job of just staying the course. He has it. He already has that mentality of being a killer. He already has the tools, he's already a great player in this league already and he's going to continue to showcase that. Now it's just getting the right pieces around him in order to be at a high level to showcase that. Because not only can he score, he can rebound, he can pass. You're seeing it. When he goes against the high-level teams, you can see that he raises his game to another level. And that's a tell-tale signs of a great player in that making have that consistency for years to come.

"Obviously, you guys can see that I'm a big fan. I've been watching him for awhile. You just want him to stay as healthy as he can, because a situation like that, as a competitor, you want to play 48 minutes a game. You go on a two-game losing streak, three-game losing streak, 38 points is not enough and it eats at you. It just comes with maturity in this league and he'll continue to get better."

I can’t believe there was some doubt earlier this week in the forum if Booker is even worth a max that I’m sure some team will offer him.

Booker will be worth the max by 2020 when his max AAV kicks in. He'll still be making rookie money next season.

Whenever you might start to wonder if Booker is a true superstar, just watch that video. Listen to the Celtics announcers. It is so hard to get a star player. We finally got one.

If we were allowed to pay him max money right now, we should do it. He IS worth it at this moment. Paying Booker the max immediately will be the easiest decision of McD's career.
