Game 23: Pistons (14-8) @ Spurs (15-8) - 8:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Mon Dec 4, 2017 3:04 am

huge game (as usual), the spurs are on a back to back which should even out the fatigue factor with it being our third game in four nights BUT... today the spurs rested lamarcus aldridge, rudy gay, tony parker and partially pau gasol.

going to be very interesting to see how the front court matchup goes, tobias and drummond both have very different styles from gasol and aldridge.

ducler, as per usual

Expecting a loss here on the road..... Big question will be how we bounce back the next few after losing three straight. After this game we're @ Bucks, vs Golden State, vs Boston so most likely we're 1-3 over our next four but I'm still hopeful for 2-2. Both Boston and GSW will be looking for payback.

Bad match-up for Drummond. He'll be dealing Aldridge and Gasol stretching the defense outside the 3 point line a lot of the game.

At some point, Andre needs to learn how to consistently impose his will when he has a physical match-up. You see flashes of it when he just bullies his way to the basket and dunks on someone. But, that's only when he's angry. Otherwise, he plays pretty soft.

He's shown some great strides thus far. This needs to be the next goal post.

Expecting a loss here. Actually I'm OK with 1-3 for the next 4.

Bryn Forbes gonna drop 30 on us.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Spurs are a bit short on talent with Leonard out but remain one of the most well coached if not the best coached teams in the league.

Curious to see if our shiny new Drummond can handle Pau's savvy. Should do well offensively, at least.

Wouldn't be surprised if we were to see quite a bit of Hack-a-Dre in tonight's game.

If he shot his season rate we'd be scoring 1.296 points per Hack-a-Dre possession.

He'd have to regress heavily to make it worthwhile

they've only allowed opponents to score 100 points 9 times in 23 games, i think it's a lot more likely their regular defense will be tough enough for us to score on.

This confirms coaching and commitment over physical talent.
