So KP will either come back healthy and play a bunch of games or he won't and the team's fortunes will follow suit. Not much that whatever dumb "team" I'm on can do about that

The two things I found offensive about this game Jeff-wise is as you noted:
Beasley - Net Negative, other guys are better even with less scoring
Lee - I was SMH during the game at how this guy has been played into the ground with illness. Seems like a horrible double standard going on when at least on the PR level they list DNPs due to "illness" while Lee is out there running himself ragged and coughing up blood. Jesus H that was just intolerable to see. This is not MJ with the flu in the playoffs. This is just another game and you're literally toying with the health of your most consistent player. Inexcusable really

we got this thing called que sera sera.
it's like people want to will some asinine strategy onto the reality of player capabilities.
every loss is some kind of decision to finally "do the right thing and tank."no. they lose because they couldn't win. pretty much that simple.

looks like when Horny is pressed for wins he reverts back to being a horrible coach, so any sign of adversity he shows no accountability by playing guys like Beas/Jack because they are vets and because Lee is a role player he lets him go out there looking like death because he is trying to eek out every win possible.
Week minded coach, he needs to realize if Frank/Dotson/WHG show improvement throughout the year I don't think Perry will automatically fire him. He already stated he is looking for development and playing hard, not wins. Yet Jeff is held up on scoring, and deals with the negatives that those players bring which is the opposite of what perry/mills want.

Someone posted in a game thread that Perry was yelling at Jeff to play the young guys.
Is that even true? I didn't see it

That to me sounds like a team that's gonna struggle severely in the playoffs, so I still don't see what the point of chasing the 8th seed is.

Who said he's gonna become a star?
A lot of posters here see him as a glue guy. A great 3&D guy at PG. If he becomes a star, that would be great but I wouldn't be mad if he doesn't. PGs take time to develop.

Just need that can't-miss blue-chip prospect like Michael Beasley or Jahlil Okafor and we're set! Very simple process...

Just as there are picks that do not pan out...there are others picked before and shortly after those players you named that have panned out. So yes, drafting well is important.
The point is, at the moment, the Knicks best chance at adding young talent to their core is through the draft. The higher you draft, the more likely you will have impact players available to choose from.

So what you're saying is, raw draft position isn't as important as good scouting and player development?
Huh

I said exactly what I said. The better your draft position, the more likely you will have a major impact player available for "good scouting and player development".
So we are just going to pretend far and away the majority of the NBA's stars weren't top 10 draft picks? In many cases, top 5?
