Can’t wait to revisit the JJ hot takes in two years. People aren’t even giving him a chance to be Booker’s running mate. Again not you.

I expect him to be much improved. I'm a JJ fan obviously. But I've watched all the games and think currently his offense is sloppy at times. I think he works hard enough to improve that though.

JJ hurries. He has to stop that. In the words of the great John Wooden. "Be quick, don't hurry." He is just a little out of control. If he slows down just a little on offense, it will click.

Who would guard PGs? Start Jackson and have him guard PGs and move Warren to 6th-man role?

That's the quandry you'll have with Doncic - like I said the offence would be unreal though. Jackson has to remake his shot mechanics to be startable IMO - but actually now you mention it him guarding guards is a good use of his talents. If he can do that and become a 3rd or 4th option on offense you have a quality NBA starter.

Yeah, that's the thought process with Doncic, that JJ would guard the PG, but that does leave TJ out. He would be great off the bench but ultimately we would need more defensive options. Hopefully these guys improve defensively.

But it seems like they are both on equal footing and nowhere near where i was expecting them to be coming into their 2nd season. Yes i know bigs take longer to develop, im just worried that we dont have the right guys developing them as their games (How they play) are rather weak and lackluster.

I can see both sides of the argument. With bigs being slower to develop, we may not know what we have until the end of Year 2 or Year 3 and by that time, if they haven't blossomed into something legit, their value would be a lot lower than right now. So I don't consider trading them as giving up but rather taking a calculated risk based on their projected development and cashing in now if a good deal comes.

That's always going to be the problem with building through the draft. You don't know what you have until 2-3 seasons down the road. I think you have your untouchables (Booker) and everyone else is potentially available and I just don't understand the hate for putting a guy like Chriss or even Bender in trades if it nets us something legit. This is particularly true for us when we have two guys (even though they are young) who are ready to take the next step. Waiting for Bender/Chriss/Jackson to catch up (if they ever do) could be dangerous.

This is true. If these guys don’t continue to develop then their trade value also decreases.

At the same time, we can trade them and they go off on some other team (think D’Angelo Russel).

Really liking the development I'm seeing from JJ. My eye test says he's slowly but steadily improving.
I was surprised when Triano subbed him for Chriss later in the 4th or that he wasn't playing more in 2nd in general. I thought he was playing stifling defense on Simmons and had him shut down.

But Russell was going off on the Lakers, people just didnt bother paying attention because BLEH its the Lakers. As Bwgood and I noted about a kajillion times last season, Russells stats were right there with Bookers.

And from what i have seen of Trae Young, he reminds me a lot of Russell.

Have we ever had a player who has the regular range of Booker? It's unreal!

Man that sixers gamethread :o a lot of hate and personal attacks on Booker. They're acting like Booker should already have an elite all-around game while reaching his full potential at just over 2 full seasons of his NBA career

This was a game I def wanted to win. Outplaying the 2 players considered the future of the league feels good.
Embiid said they took the Suns lightly. I think it was Beal who said the same thing when we played them too. This team isn't good but teams who think they have a free pass will struggle to beat us if they don't take us seriously going forward.

Yep. I see a lot of offensive abilities in that guy and defense....just grow.

Just dont stop attacking until u quit.

PS: 76ers board suddenly became a GS board based on what? wow

I love the look on Daniels' face on the bench. Bad shot but when you are that hot, anything can go in.

The Devin Booker hate is hilarious his haters talk about low PER, volume scorer on a bad team, someone has to score on a bad team. AS IF SCORING 70 AND MULTIPLE 30 PT GAMES AND 40 PT GAMES IS EASY REGARDLESS EVER. People are hilarious.

Devin Booker is the next James Harden. The comp is there. Harden wasn't as quick as he is now bc he got in better shape. That's Booker's next step. Add a little more muscle, shred a little more baby fat, become an absolute machine, watch where he'll be by 24 or 25.

So glad we have (hopefully) our franchise guy for life. He's a superstar, he's our guy, let's hope he resigns max deal for us.

He is the next James Harden, their games are very similar. Or if you want to say he's the first Devin Booker, sure, that's fine, he's a superstar SG I'm good with that lol

I don't know how we do this, but I'm all in like 100% all in trading anyone not named Devin Booker to acquire Bagley and Ayton in the draft this upcoming year

Or some combo of 2 of the following: Bagley, Ayton, Doncic

I want 2 stars to pair with Booker. I really want Ayton a franchise altering big man presence like that is amazing and Bagley is equally as phenomenal.

How can we somehow get both?

Trade value never decreases, GM's trade for salary. Not necessary for the skillset of said player.
