Groin strain. Can't imagine he plays Thursday even if it ends up being mild, but his reaction seems a bit much for mild. Hopefully we play it safe and let him get back to 100%, time to see who'll step up and produce in his absence.

Dont know the severity of it yet (Stage 1/2/3), but it has to be pretty bad when he could not move at all. Thats not a good sign.

A relatively minor groin injury might require just three weeks of rest, while a more severe injury could require four to six weeks. A complete rupture of a groin muscle could require surgery, which comes with a recovery period of up to three months. Resting after a groin strain is critical to a successful recovery. Returning to activity too quickly could worsen the injury and will certainly extend the groin injury recovery period.

Who cares
Actually, checking the spread just now, probably a lot of people. Hilarious. The spread opened with Toronto as 13.5 favorites but moved to 14.5 because of a lot of people betting on the Raps I guess. Anyone who took them at any spread lost on that bucket. Ouch. But a nice gambling win for people who bet on the Suns.
I did think about that a minute after I posted. That was a big win or loss for the gamblers lol. I don't really care if a player wants to play until the final buzzer though. Would have rather they play defense on that last possession if we were gonna go down and try to score on that last possession but overall it doesn't matter to me
It's not that big of a deal (except for gamblers). Just on the appearance looked a bit tasteless. They dribble out the clock, give us the ball, and we score. I guess any practice opportunity you might as well do it. Mike James can't turn down a chance to get a bucket.
Obviously it would have been looked worse if we were winning by 15 and they ran out the clock and we tried to score once we got it back, but ultimately the same kind of thing.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worse.
I've had groin strains in my time but never to the point where I couldn't move. Even mild strains take a couple weeks of rest to heal properly. I think we should expect to be without him for some time. As you said, these kinds of injury tend to get aggravated easily so it's best for him to take his time from a recovery standpoint.

Derozan had an abducor injury two years ago and I believe he was out 6 weeks, then took a few months to get back to normal again.

This injury really sucks. Just when he was taking it to the next level too. I swear it seems like deja vu with my sports fandom. Last time we had a player playing this well in his third season he gets injured and misses the whole next season. Same thing seems to happen with my other sports team...star receiver lacerates his kidney early in season and misses the season. Came back healthy the next year, and tore his ACL in week 1, out for season again.
Hopefully it's not too serious. Our injury luck sucks this year. Of course our backup SG is out too. I guess Jackson will probably start. We should have great spacing.

Now we're bad enough for a top 5 pick which is all we hear about here. Based on our last 3 top 5 picks, I just can't wait.
What, you think he's done for the season?
Yeah. It looked like a tear to me. Really glad it's not. It will still set us back quite a bit. And now we have to sign Mike James. ****

Dramatic mismanagement by Triano.
Why's Booker playing 80 minutes in 24 hours when the game is over!
I even forecast in the off-season it will be tempting to play him too much due to lack of support.
Honestly if I were Sarver I'd fire everyone involved in the decision.

How in the world is it Triano's fault? Booker is young and is very much capable of playing heavy minutes and he's our best player. The fact is injuries happen,it doesn't matter if you are playing 80 minutes or 8 seconds.

We have 13 winnable games in the next 4 weeks too.

Any coincidence the injury happened in the 78th minute of a back to back and not the 2nd minute?
Booker's legs were clearly fatigued tonight and the game was over.
If this was game 6 I'm not sure others would be as forgiving.

I hope you're not putting Booker's injury on Triano.
This could've happened at any point in the game. This is also what star players do, they have to shoulder the scoring load even in B2B games. It's what Lebron does, it's what Westbrook does, it's what any star players have to do. We got within 9 in the 4th and we wouldn't be there without Booker on the court.

Give me a F'n break, ill blame Triano for somethings, but not this. Game over? It was like a 10 point game with 5 minutes left, after going on a 12-2 run! The game was not over.

Yup. They heal slow and get aggravated easily. This will be a year long issue guaranteed. Strains and pull
s are the worse.
