He had a stretch of games where I thought he rounded a corner but he seems to slowed - he is so inconsistent.

Maybe our expectations were a little too high after his Playoff performance. He was playing within himself and within a system where he wasn't the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd option last postseason. He started the season playing the same way with his improved 3 point shooting being a bonus. Now he's trying to play way above his current skill level which is the same problem I have with Baze. Over handling the ball and trying to break down defenses is not Prince's game and he's only hurting himself trying to force things.

Prince looks like he has the potential to be a nice 3rd option on a playoff team, there's no way that I see him being the man, even on a bad team.

The good news is that we have some high draft picks on the way. 2-3 years from now when we're ready to get back into the playoffs, Taurean will be (hopefully) a lockdown perimeter defender who contributes as a 3rd or 4th option on offense.

Yeah he is still young and trying to figure his game out. Mistakes are a given at this point and the more playing time he gets the more he will figure out his role and get comfortable. Might as well try too hard and make mistakes now while winning is not a priority. I doubt he will ever be the man but he could be a solid contributor/glue guy like you were saying.

T Prince profiles well playing alongside any of the top 5 players in this years draft. He might be redundant playing alongside a Miles or Mikal Bridges. But Sexton, Bamba, Ayton and especially M Porter or Doncic would each benefit from playing next to a guy like Taurean.

NOTE: I wouldn't be surprised if we sell high on TP2000 in the next 18 months as his age might not matchup perfectly with the 18/19 year olds we're hoping to build around soon.

Hahaha nice...I thought you might have been from a past Hawks site as "Hawkman". Anyways, pull up a bar stool and stay a while!
