Might want to lower the optimism.

Should have just stopped here.

"Brett Brown says Fultz didn't do much in practice today, and that he's barely even thought of !"
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Now I want answers. I'm glad we are doing well anyways cause if not Fultz would have a lot more pressure. But I want to hear some updates, whatever the type.

He won't be back before the All-Star break, if he even comes back this year.

Hmmm. No structural damage, no sling, no appointments with specialists reported and out 6 weeks... LOL

Jeez, Fultz's scapula must have been on his chest for it to be this bad. It's a wonder he was able to play for as long as he did.

Prediction:

Tomorrow they flat out say he's out indefinitely.

Sometime toward the end of January you hear blah blah blah surgery done for the year.

If he's out for the year, Colangelo needs to go.

Especially after Embiid played injured and seemed to worsen his injury.

I don't know what they knew, but we know that this front office is willing to sacrifice health for perception, because they've done it before.

I wouldn't even be upset if he was out for the season, I think we've witnessed the benefits of it, however he played seven games (including scrimmage and preseason) with an obvious hindrance. This is unfolding exactly as it had in the past with Embiid, and even Simmons to a lesser extent.

Read on Twitter

"Shuttled off the court".

I'll go ahead and say it, his shot must still be jacked up and they don't want anyone to see it.

Why?

One of two reasons:

Because he left Fultz to his devices with seemingly no plan between Summer League and preseason. So Fultz took it upon himself, and his trainer, to change his shot which consequently caused this issue with his shoulder, if I'm piecing this insanity together correctly. That's a complete lack of control over your multimillion dollar 19 year old investment.

OR

Fultz mysteriously hurt his shoulder and had the gross negligence to let him play all training camp, preseason and a few games in the beginning of the season without seeing a specialist to begin the rehab process. If this is something as serious as a season ender, he should have never played to begin with.

Why would they have to shuttle him away for us not to see his jump shot? He hasn't attempted them in the past while media watched, I doubt he would have suddenly began shooting them today.

Because if he shoots another left handed shot, some of our poster's heads might explode.

Still not sure what is so complicated about this. He'll return when the injury is healed. It hasn't fully healed yet. I like everyone else would love for it to be healed by now, but it isn't, so what can you do?

And I wouldn't get hung up on "no structural damage." That doesn't mean much of anything. Structural damage injuries aren't the only ones that take long to heal, right now it's all about comfort.

I've never of someone getting injured because of a change to their jump shooting motion. Even if he tried to change his shot which there really isn't any proof of stating that the shot is the reason for the injury is pretty wacky to me. Considering there is almost no example of this in professional basketball history.

Find it more likely he got injured lifting weights or doing dumb teenager crap like riding a dirt bike. Why no one in practice noticed it and thought to continue to trot him out there is a major concern. Especially when the most important player on the team is made of styrofoam.

This might be the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. What the hell ia going on? Unreal.

“No (he’s not comfortable with it), and so we’re gonna get back on track. His heart is in the right place. All by himself, he pivoted out over the summer and tried to make it better and tweak it, and he’s in a place right now where we’re gonna try to remind him where his shot was and try to bring that back into probably more a tighter shot, bring his release point down a little bit, bring the ball closer to his body. We have a Team Markelle all around him to help him, and he’s gonna be just fine.”

“It was just something going on where I wanted to try something new, but my free throw’s going to look the same as college. I’m just trying to look at different ways to see how the ball can go in the hoop,” said Fultz. He stressed that his primary point-of-emphasis has been on getting ready for a deeper three-point line, and improving his proficiency as an off-ball threat. “This is a further three, so just [getting ready to] catch-and-shoot. You’ve got great people here—Ben, JJ, everybody—so you’ve got to be ready to catch-and-shoot whenever you’re open.”

I think it's clear he tried to do something with his shot.
