Listed as a moderate strain.

Still trying to figure out Mike James situation. Booker injury doesnt open up a roster spot, expecting James situation to go until this evening.

I read the james situation as they are doing everything they can to trade monroe but so far no takers and if that doesnt happen jones probably gets cut.

Anyone know if they would be allowed to sign jones to a two way contract if he clears waivers?

I had a really hard time gleaning anything from Ryan's comments, except that neither of the two options they are considering is lucrative.

... Returning to Booker, we have several winnable games during his absence. @SAC, @DAL, @LAC, and potentially MEMx2. If he's out another week or so beyond that, you can add another @SAC and ATL too.
This is a really soft part of our schedule.

It's bad but it's not THAT bad.

Kids in the general forum making conclusions from 10 second movie clips... well color me surprised.

But Suns are amongst the bottom 3 in many defensive stats and by eye test, its terrible.

Suns will never win a championship with this scheme of chaos offense with no defense approach.

OK, perhaps you were this low on him coming out, but his shot isn't any worse than it was coming out of college.

He is just a poor shooter. I think you're sugar coating it. Hard to play wing in the new NBA without a formidable shot.

Marion had a bad shooting form and he was one of the KEY players during the SSOL and carried the defense.... Jackson is in the same mold.

Shooting is just one aspect... I want Jackson to be the All-rounder (slash, pass, defense, rebound) so he will fit in nicely with Booker, Warren and another offensive player, hopefully a big man

Someone that does not need to score, but still helps the team win and gel on court.

Bad form but he still almost shot 50% as a rookie. Jackson is in the 30% range.

To be fair that 10 second was really embarrassing.

Marion didnt attempt as much 3s though.... Jackson does, mainly because he needs to as wings need a 3pt shot these days.

I'm not sugar coating anything. We knew he wasn't a good shooter coming out but wanted a defensive wing next to Booker. We hoped he could improve it over time, but his FT% didn't make that probable.

We knew we needed that defensive presence. I always hate taking guys that can't shoot in the draft, particularly in today's NBA, which is also why I didn't like Fox and was leaning Isaac by draft time. I was still high on Jackson though because of that energy and knowing we needed a wing stopper next to Book.

I think it's closer to the truth to say that his offense is based primarily on his ability to attack with the dribble, but he's much better shooting off the catch than off the dribble. It's a heckuva problem, because I don't see that off-the-dribble shot improving anytime soon.

Does 2-3 weeks indicate 14-21 days?

Or does it indicate 14-27 days as it's not reached 4 weeks.

Next 21 days: Washington, Spurs, @Sacramento, Toronto, @Minnesota, @Dallas, @Clippers, Memphis, Minnesota, Memphis.

Booker has a phenomenal record when he returns from injury in the past 2 seasons (albeit not multiple weeks):

2nd, 3rd game back - 38, 39 points
3rd game back - 70 points
1st, 2nd, 5th game back - 31, 33, 37 points
1st, 3rd, 4th game back - 33, 38, 46 points

I feel bad for Booker. As much as we were sucking, he was going to be in the conversation for all star this year.

But, with him out, this is a great chance to secure that 3rd spot in the lotto and let Chriss/Jackson/Bender get a ton of touches.

I'd be surprised if no-one wanted any of our centers for a 2nd rounder (not that we'd need it as we'd have 4).

Marion also played his best ball as a PF not a wing. Plus one huge difference is Marion was a good FT shooter. I think Jackson's struggles at the FT line are really hurting his game because I think he's rushing things so he doesn't get fouled. It's a very very bad trait that bad FT shooters can develop and something I worried about predraft. He really needs to get that figured out since you simply can't have a wing who shoots 50% from the line.

I'm not sure it's so much a love for James as it's they need him because they are literally out of G's.

I think we promised him a contract after he played well in the first month and can't go back on it to cause more player drama.
