Why?
- Pink Floyd has been my favorite band for the past 12 years, I listen to it every goddam day (I swear I do).
- The price for doing it is cheap
- The tattoo artist is good
- The Division Bell is the best album from the band (No, The Wall and The Darkside of the Moon are not better).

Would YOU do it? Why?

Yes, yes, yes, and no. I have been a Floyd Fan for 30+ years. I've seen them (Division Bell tour Madison, WI 1994). I've seen Waters 13 times and David Gilmour twice, as he rarely tours. That being said, I think the choice for a tattoo is yours alone and I love the Division Bell, however, come on it is not the best. It's great, but really? Actually for me to choose a best Floyd album is like choosing your favorite child. I love Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother as much as any other and the Sid stuff is fantastic, yet different. That being said, tattoos are what YOU want, not others. And the artwork for the Division Bell is awesome. Post pics if you do.

I love doing Floyd album rankings. My number one never changes but everything else shifts throughout the years.

My top ten:

1. Piper at the Gates of Dawn

2. Obscured by Clouds

3. Meddle

4. Wish You Were Here

5. A Saucerful of Secrets

6. More

7. The Wall

8. Dark Side of the Moon

9. Ummagumma

10. Animals

The great thing about Floyd is that their worst albums are full of ace tracks. As you said, picking favorite albums is extremely difficult, Atom Heart, Division Bell and A Momentary Lapse of Reason all have dope tracks and have made the list at points.

Yep, all rankings can be mixed up as I could not "truly" argue with your rankings. One thing I always omit is The Final Cut, which I absolutely love, but I associate that with more of Roger Waters solo stuff than Floyd, especially given the history. But, it is absolutely fantastic as is Pros and Cons, Amused to Death and his newest release Is This the Life We Really Want?

I am a huge Floyd fan as well. Sorry to say I have to say that I find the post Waters Floyd albums absolutely terrible. Music is great but lyrics offend me. I like Gilmore solo albums better.

My personal favorite album is Animals. Nobody mentioned More soundtrack which is also awesome. Latest Roger Waters album is his first solo protect that sounds like a Floyd album. Still not the same without Gilmore solos, Also, both Gilmore solo albums are great. I especially love 2 songs he did with Pete Townsend -Cruise and Give Blodd ( on Townsend solo album).
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

More got cut off from my list, was supposed to be sixth. Incredibly underrated.

I love that one. Both solos are absolutely great and the lyrics, oh the lyrics... Everytime gets me. Funny how most of Pink Floyd's songs has a deep touch into your life and soul.

Gilmour actually has 4 solo albums. His last 2 "On an Island" and "Rattle that Lock" are fantastic and those are the shows I got to see. On an Island tour was special as Rick Wright was with him and they did echoes and he passed away a few years later.

Comfortably Numb here too. Though this live version is probably my favourite.

Animals has been my "preferred" Floyd album for a while now. A lot of music syncs up with certain seasons/weather for me. This one goes perfect on a drive anywhere away from the city/suburbs on an overcast, mildish day, maybe some thawing snow, somewhere around February. Just at the point where you can almost feel spring coming but it's not there yet and the winter is wearing old. The bleakness of the music and the messages in it vibes just right for that setting.

My idea of favorite songs is usually fluctuating but Any Colour You Like has always stuck with me. Covered a decent amount of Floyd over the years and Fearless is a personal fave with band or acoustic. Have a Cigar is awesome to play with a good band.

Foo Fighters do a great cover of that with Brian May of Queen.

I've just finished watching 'Fargo' (the TV series). Season 1 was really good, and season 2 was even better. Billy Bob Thornton stands out as the villain in season 1, and Bokeem Woodbine steals season 2 as one of the bad guys. Jean Smart is great too. Season 3 is not available in Canada yet, unfortunately.

On the opposite end of the violence-o-meter is 'This Is Us.' Quiet series for the whole family, with great work by the two guys that star as William (Ron Cephas Jones and Jermel Nakia). Surprisingly, Mandy Moore can act.

The Last Jedi sounds like it might be better than Empire Strikes Back. The fact that Disney gave Rian Johnson his own trilogy to direct leads me to believe that TLJ has to be great. I am pumped for this Thursday.
