lol.. my quote on the last page was supposed to be "we arent going to win MANY games without Cody"... cody's great but we still won 3 of the 20 games with hibbert/hawes filling in last year... i didnt mean to imply we'd go 0-fer.

Thank goodness he's back though. The East is looking tougher than originally thought now that the Magic are good, pistons are alright, and the Pacers/Nets are better than expected. I still think those two will drop off as the season progresses but I cant stand the thought of missing the playoffs with an "all in" roster like this

:o  Right now without Cody,we have no interior defense when Dwight sits. I hope he gets well quick or we could be 5-10 instead of 10-5.

Despite not being able to finish at the rim worth a ship for a 7fter and having to play alongside the asinine which is called our bench Cody is actually having prolly his best individual season of his career so far.

Damn wtf. Sucks for Cody but this will be another case of injuries righting the ship when we’re forced to use Frank at backup C. But who am I kidding. We’ll just make JOB the backup C and keep Frank at PF. Conventional pecking order.

In all seriousness, we absolutely should use Frank at C whenever he can play again. It’s where he played well for us last year.

The bigger concern is where are the screens going to come from with Cody out.

So, I don't know anything about a torn meniscus, but did us leaving Zeller in for those last 49 seconds to score a layup and then play some defense cause more damage?

I was wondering why no timeout was called when he couldn't even make it up the court.

I doubt it. Just a unfortunate situation. Most players can return from a torn meniscus in like a month or so. It could’ve been worse like a torn ACL or something. Cody should be back by February and maybe as early as January depending on how his recovery goes.

Seriously thank God for Dwight. Love Cody but apparently we just need to expect injuries with him.

this is the #1 reason I was thrilled with the Dwight acquisition. It wasn't so much what Dwight brought to the table, but the fact that we had a credible option at center for games where Cody was hurt or in foul trouble. Which seems to be quite often.

But we got him for Miles Plumlee who’s even more injury prone. Injuries is a part of the game. I never was mad at the Dwight trade, just had concerns with how Clifford may overuse him.

He's played less than 70 games in a season just once since MKG was drafted. Cody is batting .500 on hitting 70 games in his four seasons since being drafted, and not looking good for this year.

The back injury's overblown. He hasn't ever really missed time with it since he had the surgery. He's played 76, 71, 41 (knee injury), 71, 74 over the last five seasons, and hasn't yet missed a game for us this year. On the flip side, Zeller has played 82, 62, 73, 62, and this year is probably going to be in the 20-40 range, if he even comes back at all.

No much point in rushing his return if the team is struggling to compete even in 2018. If he has surgery anyway he is out for at least 3/4 months.
The worst thing that could happen since Hornets cannot have an inside game to save them from jacking (bad) jumpers. Unless some miracles happen and Frank begins to figure out he can roll to the rim on pnr.

Bang, bang, bang. Too many injuries. Just terrible.
