I, for one, want nothing to do with Asiks contract unless we are unloading Bizmark. I see no reason to take on bad contracts just because fans want to unload viable assets on decent contracts.
As far as the glass man Parsons, I really want absolutely nothing to do with him. He is playing like a bench player and I don't think the Magic are stupid enough to trade away a starter on a good contract for a $24 million fragile backup. That would be like team suicide to have Bizmark and Parsons on this team. Craziness.
Now, if you are thinking that the Magic could get a top 5 pick in return for taking on one of those bad contracts, then we should listen, otherwise I don't think any sane GM would make those trades.
That was my point. It's not like Evan is untradable, but in order to get pick(s) or other assets for him you need to take bad contracts. Same with Vučević and Biyombo. You can't get assets ,picks and good players in return unsless you trade superstar away.
And that's where menagment and ownership comes to play. Are you wiling to tank and rebuild or you are fine with being 29-38 wins team for next 5 years because that's what Magic are from 2014.
Evan is a good player. I fully believe we could get a pick or a player for Evan.
I wouldn't be opposed to a top 12 pick for fournier, but I don't think a player drafted after 9th will be any better 9 times out of 10.
