Heart and soul of the team. Too bad it's a rebuild and we've got Acy and DMC playing the same position (backup PF), one is much cheaper and the other unmovable.

Would he get much PT tho if they're healthy?

Thx

Thanks for the honesty.

He was a huge part of the culture and 100% class. He came in after having won the teammate of the year award from the Jazz.

He often helped set the tone of grittiness on the court, but I remember one interview where he was asked about mentoring and he used his career as an example. He said he would tell the young guys to look at him and how he still had a career after all these years because he worked hard at being good at his niche as a roleplayer after many others trying for stardom are out of the league. And that the young guys don't need to be under the pressure of superstar or bust, that they can just focus on finding a niche of what they are good at and work hard at it.

He also has a major entrepreneurial streak with investments in many areas. Yet another thing he could teach youngsters about investing wisely for a post-NBA life.

And when he lost the starting PF job to RHJ, he only had praise for RHJ for emerging as a PF. Absolutely classy.

The Sixers are getting a very good vet for their young team.

"Booker has been ruled out from returning to Friday's game against the Thunder after spraining his ankle, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

X-ray's on Booker's sprained ankle came back negative. Booker left the game after providing six points (3-4 FG) and three rebounds across 13 minutes."
