It'll take a miracle for this team to win tonight.
Funny thing is all our pre-season hopes have gone to ****.
Murray, as much as I like him, does not have a point guard bone in his body. Forcing him to play point guard is like making Jokic play power forward, just not his thing. It almost sounds funny but Barton is our best point guard option.
Plumlee is just a wreck, Mudiay horror, Faried doesn't fit anywhere, Chandler is not playing well.
Very disappointing all around.

Too bad when Jokic comes back, Malone won't go back to what was working last season, man can't coach plus he's stubborn .

Orlando has a good start of the season, but lately, they gave-up from playoff ambitions, so they seem like perfect opponent against which we should try to do something on the road, even with all these injury problems.

But after we have another pathetic road-game start (-11 at end of the 1st quarter) I didn't see this win is coming.

Big credit to our bench which scored more than half of Denver points today, especially for their crucial role in the 1st half where Barton is the only useful starter, so we come back thanks to Faried, Mudiay, and Beasley.

Not a very pretty game, but I'm sure they were glad to win. Seeing a few signs of better defense but they still end up reaching from the side or behind a lot. More switching, which is a good thing. But that means on mis-matches, they have to help out. Saw some of that tonight but it still isn't fluid. Another sign of "lazy" play is how often our guys depend on athleticism for rebounds rather than blocking out. Faried blocks out fairly well. Plumlee isn't too bad either. Not a lot of others blocking out, at least not all the time.

I wonder what the stats are by segments. By that I mean, "beginning of quarters", "middle of quarters", "end of quarters". Hastings made it clear the Nuggets tend to start games slow and we've seen that too often. Then he talked about their tendency to not finish quarters well, saying it's often because they're tired - that's why they become jump-shooters. The Nuggets are not a good jump shooting team. They are good when they cut and drive and pass and take some 3pt shots.

Looking past a "miracle" - if I'm correct, Jokic has missed four games and the team is 2-2. Breaking even without Jokic & Millsap is pretty good. Yes, let's not forget Millsap's injury. If you count the game he was injured in (since he only played 13 minutes), the Nuggets have gone 50% since his injury. So if anyone is counting on Jokic turning things around, there are no indications the Nuggets are going to turn things around even with Jokic.

Nice win. i fell asleep after work and missed all the early games tonight . Looking at the box It looks like he really changed up the minutes distribution.

Orlando is a mess right now and i see Fournier didnt play, but holding anyone to 89 points is still a great success

LOL, the Magic are missing Fournier and the Nuggets are missing their 2 best players, so why is Fournier that big of a deal compared to the Nuggets missing players?

Here is the thing that many are missing, our offense is designed based on a drive and kick system, with the occasional dribble hand off, that is a system suited for our guards with minimal contribution from a big, so the fact that this team is not much better with Jokic on the court just shows how badly Malone is using him this season.

Do you guys look for negative in every post?

Orlando has been playing terribly as of late and Fournier is their best offensive player. So I was simply stating that they don't have a ton of firepower at the moment. That said, holding any NBA team to 89 points is a great success. This was a big move in the right direction as far as defense is concerned and its interesting that it occured with so much change in teh minutes distribution. Particularly Murray on the bench

I'm not looking for anything other than reading a post from someone trying to discredit a win using an excuse that they are missing their best player, while ignoring the facts that the Nuggets are missing their 2 best players. Could it be that you will do anything to discredit a bunch of guys who you have been shamelessly attacking for weeks, while claiming to be a Nuggets fan no less, just handily beat another decent NBA team? Are you realizing that the internet hot takes that you routinely spout might be so far off base that it is funny to me and some others?

By the way Murray played like ****, maybe you are a new fan, but young players are streaky. Sometimes they play great, sometimes they are terrible, then they eventually gain some stability in their game or they end up 8th men.

It's usually stands out with your posts.

True about Fournier, but you ignore/gloss over that our top TWO players were missing, it was a road game and we're on a 6-game road streak that hasn't been going well.

I'm talking specifically about the defense. The defense has been putrid lately and this was a big move in the right direction. But its important to put it in context. Orlando is a bad offensive team right now
