2017-18 OFF-SEASON
Anybody interested in signing Wade Davis???
That’s 2 bullpen aces and guves Dave another option to goto aside from Kenley for 6 outs - the Coward’s Way as Neddy calls it.
Drawbacks:
- We are all about building the pipeline through the draft.
- Wade has had some elbow issues though they haven’t got to TJS.
But we have another crack at the international market this year and that can blunt some of the sting of losing a 2nd rounder (where gems can be found...Pedroia and Stanton come to mind).

there is nothing wrong with the "coward's way" if we are the winning team.... but I think Wade won't sign up to be a set up man. if you have any news about him not minding it, man, I am full on board. but I don't think between that and the money issue about us going under the lux tax, can't see it happen.
ehhhhh f it.

With Stanton out on the Cardinals and Giants, I’m almost certain he will be a Dodger now.

Annoying.
Big win for Artie.
Otani and Trout. Great pieces to build around for the next 5-10 years.

Heyman says Yankees have deal for Stanton.
Good luck keeping that team in the park...particularly their park.
Fantastic imo.
Glad our franchise is avoiding this mistake.

Re: 2017-18 OFF-SEASON
I'm disappointed we didn't get Either O or Stanton, but I'm cool with it... I still think we need a big boost in offense somewhere... Especially if Barnes is our guy going forward.

isn't their first base open now that Texieria is retired? can't imagine them running Greg Bird out there everyday. between Stanton and Judge, whoever is worse RF should move to first. If I am Brian Cashman, I am protecting my 300 million dollar investment and move him to the first, but Judge is a big boy, maybe too big to be lumbering around out there.
ehhhhh f it.

Isn’t Greg Bird like 25? Why not?
Btw, you know Dave Dumbass Browski wants to make a splash to respond to this...
GM Quake’s got you Dave.
Gimme a call.
I got that splash for you.

Re: 2017-18 OFF-SEASON
Kilroy really like your post and I agree with you.
What really frustrates me with the Dodgers and Friedman is they are so cheap. and Mark Thinks we are idiots like he didn't hire friedman to only save money. because Friedman and Farhan Ziedi won in Tampa Bay and Oakland without spending money.
When they came in they made a big splash going after Adrian Gonzalez and his big contract and after that trade they just got cheap and stopped wanting to spend money. and before people mention Turner and Jensen. I'm talking about taking on big contracts and making trades for Different makers.
Here are a couple and I don't want to turn into the Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies a team that made the world series and doesn't go back.
After having what works for us and our stadium Kershaw and Greinke why give it up and nickel and dime our fans for 20 million when you allow him to sign with Arizona because you dicked him around and refused to pay him. I'd rather have Greinke in a game 7 then Darvish really screwed us up. a lot of Dodgers fans wanted to keep Greinke don't tell me about Arizona and how he's sucked their. The dodgers were the perfect fit. his wife liked it here. Freidman was told not to spend the money so that sucks.
2. not trading for Chris Sale last off season after not signing Grienke why not make a play for Chris Sale? because we don't want to pay him. Chicago just wanted to move the salary. and we could've had him in a game 7. one two with Kershaw that's a trade I would get behind.
3. Justin Verlander it was made known throughout Baseball that the Dodgers were one of the teams and top team that Justin Verlander would wave his no trade Clause for and after acquiring Yu Darvish Verlander would assure us a world series Championship with Kershaw. after having discussions with them. We relented and didn't want to do it after Mark didn't want to take on the Verlander Salary. we we saw what happened and what Verlander did to us in the World series even though we beat him in game 6. having him for a game 7 against Houston would be great. and probably get us a world series. maybe Verlander pitches that game 3 in Houston.
and Here we are 4. Giancarlo Stanton Mike Stanton. Yeah I'm an L.A. guy and I've known Stanton is a L.A. guy. he's one of those L.A. guys that's proud to be from L.A. look at his 818 Stanton. and if you're from L.A. you know what that's about. I compared this to the James Harden Trade OKC couldn't afford a hall of fame talent and basically traded him to dump the salary. and Where is Jeremy Lamb now. Stanton has the full no trade Clause basically a free agent. and we have the chance to get a Barry Bonds talent to play in his backyard a stadium where he routinely rakes home runs look at the moon shot he hit off of Kershaw only Mark Mcgurie hit a longer home run. When you have a chance to acquire Talent you must get it. WE are in a win now mode. we haven't won since 88 I'd like to assure us at least a few shots at the Word series getting a guy like Stanton.
The way the game is going it's about Home Runs as we saw with our slug fests with Houston a team we might be playing next year. it would've helped having a guy like that in the middle of our lineup especially in Game 7. so we got a lot of production out of guys who might not play like that next season. having a guy like Stanton assures us middle of the lineup protection for Bellinger and Turner. Pitchers cannot pitch around Bellinger with a guy like Stanton behind him. as you saw with Kent and Bonds on the Giants. in the world series they started pitching around Bellinger. so it's my opinion that you must get Stanton.
our lineup would look like Taylor Seager Turner Bellinger Stanton Puig Forsythe Barnes that is a beast of a lineup and can compete with the Cubs and Nats. those teams will be back. and so will the Giants.
with Kershaw having his opt out we need to do everything to assure him that we are committed to winning. and everytime we can do it we never do. no more nickel and dime get us some star players. we are all coming off of a World Series feeling our selves but we didn't win and we need to do everything to win.
I saw Mike Piazza great right handed power hitter. and I think Getting Stanton would bring that back. he's really improved with his stance and the way he bats makes it nearly impossible for pitchers to pitch around him reason you saw so many home runs. I think Barry Bonds really helped him. and Turner Ward would've worked wonders with him.
The Yankees gave Jeter Nothing really Starlin Castro. we could've done better then that. if you really wanted to move the contract we could've given Grandal. but I really think Stanton did everything to get to L.A. I mean vetoing trades to the Giants and the Cardinals this isn't the Phillies these are contending teams. championship teams. the Giants are a big city big market team. San Francisco is a great city. But Stanton hates the Giants. he really was making it known L.A. or Bust we got Cocky and Cheap as always and Jeter said screw it let me call my former GM cashman. and the Yankees do what they always do and that's why they have six championships in the 90's and 2000's. Why not put Judge with Stanton and Sanchez and basically make it impossible for pitchers to pitch around them. basically what we could've had with Stanton Bellinger and Seager.
I've seen this squad be cheap since Piazza. when are we going to spend money on a marque guy who would be great for us. and give us a star player who is basically the Lebron James of baseball. he stays in shape. don't talk about Pujols you gotta spend money. he will be very productive. and after not getting otani this was the guy to get. his contract in the new baseball is a bargain. don't start drooling over harper cause we aren't in play he's going to want 400 million. and he either goes to the Yankees or Cubs to play with his boy Bryant.
So here we are Stanton still hasn't approved the Trade he lives in the Hollywood hills. maybe he just doesn't want to play in New York. and I don't blame him. why go from Miami to New York when you can go to L.A.? and he can come up with some baseball thing and just say I want to play RF I don't want to play first base. and he can still tell Miami it's L.A. or bust. like I said he hasn't approved the trade yet. and just like SF they had a deal agreed to and remember Stanton actually met with The Giants he didn't meet with the Yankees.
Stanton tell the Yankees no. and Make the Dodgers trade for you. cause at that point you are staring at the superstar. just get the Guy. the Star Mr. Stanton and look at the Home Runs. Go Dodgers.
This team needs to spend the money. it's always the Yankees can the Dodgers get a star.
We always support our Dodgers we are the best Fans in MLB we always go to games they make so much money off of us with tickets and Merchandise so I don't want to hear it. Get Stanton. get us a star.
