to call that penalty on Payton to end the game just pisses me off.

It was a dumb decision for him to just charge onto the field like that. I'm not sure what he was trying to accomplish. Whatever, I'll take it. TNF is stupid.

well then if he was waving for the clock to stop then he shouldn't have gave a damn that he was on the field, and damn sure shouldn't have decided it was worth ending the f*ckin game

Well, after the Falcons ran the ball, I was looking at the clock expecting it to stop. It didn't.

We didn't see what exactly went down, but it makes sense that he would have been trying to call timeout as soon as the play ended - and the ref should have been looking at him expecting that to happen. That's probably why Payton got frustrated.

You can say he shouldn't have done it (he shouldn't have), and the Falcons were going to win the game anyways....but as a ref you can't call that.
