I am hoping Fultz fully recovers and is able to help this team in some capacity. To dismiss his problem as anything BUT mental is short sighted. This kid has never played in the NBA and the time he has he did not look good. PLENTY of guys are studs in college and afterthoughts in the pros. The draft is an inexact science, and even the first pick in the draft can be a bust( I am not saying he is, to be 100% clear). Even if he was the unanimous first choice. Look at a guy like Simmons, who I am sure shoots 100's of shots a day. Game time comes and he is TERRIFIED to shoot wide open shots more than 15 foot out. 1st quarter, end of game, whenever . He WILL NOT SHOOT. THAT is mental.
Look at Nelson Agholor's first few years in the league. A stud in college and a nothing for TWO YEARS. 100% mental. He recovered and is ballin out now.
To say that something mental isn't going on with Fultz is again, short sighted. It does not mean he is nuts and is going to be in a straight jacket, it means he has some issues to overcome. Its not the end of the world.

He shoots a 3 different than a contested shot, which is totally extended to avoid defenders. Shooting is probably 80% mental.

Just changing free throw technique is scary. The NBA is a jump and takes shooters time to gain confidence.

Hopefully, he hurt himself lifting weights or pushing himself too much. He should fit nice being a perimeter defender and shooter.

Drew Hanlan helped Tatum tweak his shot to accommodate for the longer range of the NBA this past summer. Hopefully the rumors are true and Fultz is going to work with him.

He's rehabbing an injury?

If there’s no more soreness shouldn’t It be back to basketball activity and reassessment not rehab in Kentucky?

The statement said they're still working with the specialist which means they're probably gonna be numerous check-ups and back and forth. Probably working with the specialist to not have any set backs.

Or is can all be fake. The whole thing is a ruse and a distraction from the fact that he can't play. All those airplane miles and flights for the yips and a form change. No injury according to my devry physiotherapy degree and psychology degree.

For the people who think Fultz is a mental midget with the so called yips, may I remind you about this game in summer league?

You really think this guy lacks confidence?

Yeah sorry, that injury is a 100% real. You don't go from shooting like that in the face of defenders (cold blooded shots) without having a killer instinct.

Really? I thought he looked great besides his shooting. He was playing better defense than expected, blowing by people off the dribble and showed some good court vision. Those things are why I'm optimistic.

Our pick 1 is fit but too embarrassed to play. That's a good result. Great work Bryan.

Getting half his shots blocked near the rim was great to you ? Guess we see things differently.

You realize he was getting them blocked because he couldn't lift his arm above his head right...?

If you’re short term bias, then yeah definitely. Atleast he can play and shoot almost 50% from 3s

Yeah... we should have drafted the consensus #3/4 pick over the consensus #1 that also just happened to be the best perceived fit for our team. Makes perfect sense! And in other news I wish I had bought bitcoin when it was $35.

Yeah, apparently the most important thing here is who is the consensus pick, not Who do you think is the Best prospect, the most important thing is follow majority.

Since Fultz hasn't played healthy in the NBA and Tatum just ~25 games or so, it is not really inconvenient to look at their history coming into the NBA.

Following the majority is a great way to make decisions. Job becomes easier that way. No talent needed. Anybody can do it.
