Game Thread 12/10: Pacers vs. Nuggets

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Sun Dec 10, 2017 4:58 pm

Collison (sore left knee), Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle), Lance Stephenson (ankle) and Thaddeus Young (sore right thigh) are all listed as questionable for the Pacers game on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Yes, that list includes three starters.

The Pacers are well aware of the challenge facing them with the Nuggets coming to town after Denver took care of the Pacers twice last season. Injuries are a factor for the Nuggets as well, with star big man, Nikola Jokic (ankle) and Paul Millsap (wrist) both out

I have never in my life seen a player get **** on by the refs more than Sabonis. Its unreal how much they absolutely hate him.

Its not even young player disrespect, its absolute hatred. They ignore very obvious calls, then turn around and call a ghost foul against him on the other side.

Its quite crazy to watch.

Was just thinking the same. He almost NEVER gets a call when he's getting the crap hacked out of him.

NBA refs are atrocious. They call everything based on reputation (or lack of reputation), not what's actually happening on the court.

That happens a lot, but its different with Sabonis. I'm convinced they actually have something against him.

If an opposing coach were smart, he'd just tell his guys to hack him every time he gets the ball.

Pacers just don't care tonight.

They've played defense on a total of like 2 possessions.

They probably just think "Oh wait, I remember him. He's that soft Euro who was camping at the 3pt line in OKC the whole season last year."

Really disappointing game today.

Perfect opportunity to pick up a win against a team missing their best players. Plenty of rest of both sides of the schedule, and the Pacers just don't show up. We got two more tough ones coming up, we needed this one.

It might as well be morning shoot around. We are not defending anything.

It was a loss waiting to happen the moment we signed Joe Young.

It is normal that young rotation players forget to compete after a huge win, but it isn't normal that a second round drafted player keeps getting a roster spot, when he shows so little when given the opportunity to provide a spark we need when others aren't competing hard enough.

When it will be sumnertime? :(

Joe Young is not the reason we have lost any game this season...

I'm talking about this game.

Joseph and Collison haven't missed a game before this one. It should be up to Joe Young now to provide the spark we need.
Why else did they give him so much time to develop his poor game?

There is not a single team in the NBA that relies on a third string player to be their spark. That is ridiculous.
