I think is normal 4 them to think that.
xxxxx, I almost thought the same last year
But then it came the eurobasket... and he humilliated my man big spain and his brother Pow, snatching rebounds from their hands and scoring at will on their faces... (sad day 4 my country)
And then I thought again, ok he good, but cant get better...
and then the season started... and he started putting insane stats never seen on this side of the planet
and I thought again, he can´t get better... and... well you know what happened the other day against the best defensive team out of the NBA

Someone post in this thread some highlights from G. Hayward been 22 or some´like that... didn´t imprese me a bit...
same for manu ginobili when he was 25?? I dont remenber exactly, he dominated europe, but nothing you can compare with the young slovenian...

not surprising since they still rely on the corpse of juan carlos navarro.

JCN was with 22 points in 19 minutes far the best player yesterday and that’s really not the best sign for Barca.

He is just dirk nowitzki to barca. It would be great resemblance I reckon. Even worse since Juan Carlos navarro is quite negative on the defensive end.

If Faccundo misses some time Luka will literrly die on the court.Yesterday after the match he sad that he was exhausted.

Two games per week with 30% USG and not much help , just don't get injured.

We've heard every 6 months that he can't get better and he always does. In fact I don't think it's possible to point at any 3-month period where you couldn't say he got considerably better. So I don't know why would now be the time when he stops developing.

I watched the video and what he seems to be claiming is that Doncic has Manu Ginobili as both, the floor and the ceiling. Bottom line is that the chance of him not become any better, ever, is lower than any of the Ayton, Bagley or Porter becoming just a regular star, let alone superstar. There is no way Doncic is picked 5th as he claims.

He is an average athlete, doesn't seem like a great shooter, has pretty good handles and passing ability, but I'm not seeing anything else

In large part because he's European and not a big like top Euro prospects usually are. If his name were Tyreke Smith and he was playing NCAA ball with the exact same attributes, I don't think he'd have a thread 10x longer than the other prospects threads or have so many rabbid supporters.

Yeah, people were not impressed by him at all, but then they found out he was from... Eu.. Europe? :o Oh wow. That's like a leprechaun! I gotta get myself a leprechaun, just keep him on the bench for good luck. By my calculation Doncic just sitting on the bench should be increasing FG% by 4% and decrease chance of major injury by 20%. How can you pass on such a guy. I guarantee he'd be winning NBA Lucky Charm award every year.

I mean, hes putting 21ppg and 27 PIR in euroleague... what kind of numbers u think he would get playing teenagers?

In NCAA he would avarage above 45/10/10 in all three categories. He could have sink under 10 assists if his teammates have a bad shooting day. But avarage over 10.

Underastimating defense. At 18.
He did the same to Westbrook when he was 17.

his ballandling isnt elite for NBA..notice how he tries to backs down his opponent from the middle of the court, that wont work in NBA.Reminds me of Jasikevicius who was considered Point Guard GOD in Euroleague but he couldnt play as a point guard in NBA cause he couldnt cope with defensive pressure.

Ridiculous. I actually felt bad for that same guy. Doncic can dominate players like him. The mismatch is extreme. I think couple of times he broke his ankles even in this game.

BTW, the argument "he won't be able to do this or that in NBA" is becoming my favorite. Literally brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. You can almost taste the tears of frustration. :D

Haven't watched the video, but I have three thoughts about it. The first one is that I haven't been particularly impressed with Doncic's defensive performance at Eurobasket. However he played some games better than the others and this game might had been one of the worst in this regard. The second opinion is that Doncic is defensively better now than he was at Eurobasket and I expect this to be his number one improvement in the near future The third one is that I'm not sure that a single game is a good way to show either offensive or defensive deficiencies OR strengths. In my opinion if you want to show strengths or weaknesses you do have to take at least 10 games in a row, preferably the last 10 games if you are talking about a 18-year old prospect.

I've seen some nasty videos showing NBA superstars playing pretty much no defense at all so I guess it's one of those "if you look for it, you will find it" things.

This is a valid breakdown of multiple possessions showing a weakness that needs to be addressed, especially with where the NBA is going nowadays, with the Warriors leading the way.

This is just nitpicking from one of the biggest Doncic haters on this board. Not just a Doncic doubter (reanimator is a Doncic doubter, for example, with some valid doubts), but a pure hater.

You've been rather quiet during these couple months of Doncic's domination ... It's as if you were waiting to find something like this.

He won’t play as Pg in Nba. He’s not playing Pg even Euroleague normally, yesterday Campazzo injured his ankle and he has to play as fulltime Pg.
I remembered how you made fun from Doncic, because he avg. only 8 points. Any comments now, when he’s the best scorer in Euroleague? :)
