You missed it? You definitely need to watch this somewhere.

Here's a full game highlights of the game:

And I am left with nothing but an oath that gleams like a sword
To bathe in the blood of man

I've posted this tidbit on other sites so I want to do post it here too:

So, I decided to look at our scores for the last 9 minutes of the 4th and the whole of OT (Dipo came back with 8:50 remaining in the fourth). Let's see how that looks.

4th:

7:49 - Dipo makes 2 FTs
7:18 - Myles jumper (Oladipo assists)
6:34 - Lance jumper
5:41 - Dipo makes 1 FT
3:36 - Myles makes 1 FT
3:06 - Dipo makes 2 FTs
2:39 - Dipo jumper
1:32 - Dipo layup
0:55 - Dipo layup
0:05 - Thad tip-in (after Oladipo's layup)

OT:

4:44 - Myles hook shot (after Oladipo forces the switch on the screen and Harris guards Myles in the post)
3:52 - Dipo layup
3:10 - Dipo 3
2:10 Thad hook shot (after Oladipo forces the switch on the screen and Harris guards Thad in the post)
1:04 Myles post fadeaway
0:25 Dipo makes 1 FT

And that's it. We scored 30 points in this time period. Out of those 30 points, Victor Oladipo had a hand in 25 of those 30 points. It's possible that he was involved in those Myles FTs and that Myles fadeaway as well but the highlights don't go far back to see the whole action. Our only score that Dipo didn't hand a big hand in was that Lance Stephenson jumper with 6:34 to go in the fourth. That was a Lance/Thad PnR. Everything else went through Oladipo.

That's just how dominant he was offensively. I don't ever remember our offense revolving so much around one player without turning into an Iso fest. I don't remember any Iso other than the last shot of regulation. We pick and rolled them to death.

More like 58. Early schedule was hard, with some untimely injuries. 4 last Ls were at home against HOU and BOS, on the road - against HOU and TOR.

Man I like being positive and I know we are riding high. I also agree with your analysis on the schedule but that has the team going 42-13 the rest of the way to win 58. That ain't gonna happen.

I don't know if anyone else listens to the games. Sometimes depending on my work schedule it's my only option. There was a neat exchange in the second half of this game, following Trey Lyles 3 pointer, that went something like this.

Slick Leonard: Mark, who do we need to put on Lyles out there.

Mark Boyle: Well, Slick, we could just do what we have been doing all quarter and have absolutely nobody guard him.

That said, as far as 3rd string PGs go, he is fine. He isn't remotely close to being some major issue for this roster. Could we use an upgrade? Sure, who couldn't. Could it be worse? Absolutely.

I'm not saying we should give him a lifetime contract, I'm simply saying he isn't killing us in the 3 minutes of garbage time he typically sees.

This game could have been over sooner if we had more than 7 players ready to make a difference, big or small.

Lot's of vets can bring what Young brings us. It's the hope that he someday might bring us more that gets him a roster spot.

Tonight was the night he could have shown us why.

As I said, I don't care if he is not back next year, but he is a second round pick in his third year. He's solid for what we need him to do.

The other thing is, his leadership. You talk about bringing in a vet, but Joe Young by all accounts is a huge locker room presence. You've heard teammates talk about it, as well as Quinn and Chris. The whole reason Joe Young has even been seeing the floor is because apparently he has been earning it in the locker room and practice. That is not easy for a guy to do behind a crowded back court.

As I said, we could have a worse player in that spot.

Joe seems like a "kid brother" to a lot of the other guys. You can see the mutual affection.

we're roughly 1/3 of the way through the season with 16 wins. 16 times 3 is 48. now it might be reasonable to project even more but 48 is the pace we're on so far.

True. He is like the Peck of the Pacers. So much passion and affection, their (obvious) errors are brotherly forgiven/ignored.
