George Hill unhappy

Post#1 » by taj2133 » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:03 pm

Here’s the issue. The Kings brought in Hill, Zach Randolph and Vince Carter during the offseason and still have Garrett Temple on the roster. These are respected vets who can play. These are vets brought in to help a young team, and according to sources, were brought in with the promise of a team aiming to be playoff competitive. But that promise was made to them by Scott Perry, who since left Sacramento and now makes personnel decisions for the New York Knicks. So the direction of the franchise has shifted since Perry left. An organization that brought in veterans aiming to win now is aiming to lose. Not surprisingly, Hill isn’t happy, according to multiple sources And the other veterans can’t be too happy, either. So the Kings have a mess on their hands. I’ve always liked Hill’s game, but when he signed in Sacramento, I questioned the prudence of the Kings bringing him on board when they just drafted De’Aaron Fox, the quicksilver point guard from Kentucky. – via Salt Lake Tribune

Can't feel bad for them in anyway... anyone with a brain knew they weren't making playoffs doesn't matter what some idiot told you.

I don't think they're actually unhappy, they just are politicking to get out. It was their plan from the beginning probably. Cash in on a bad team, then get out to a better one. And slip enough tips to the media to get them to do their dirty work

I would offer Jeff Teague and Cole Aldrich for George Hill, Vince Carter, and some form of minor incentive.

Randolph/Carter are fine, and I don’t believe have any issues here

Hill is a scrub that needs to not play another minute for the Kings

pshhh, those guys took the money that other teams weren't offering them. They had to know with that roster, they weren't competing for playoffs. Maybe they get traded and still keep their inflated contracts.

i always figured Sacramento signed them hoping they could use them as assets to acquire draft picks at the trade deadline.

Who knows if George Hill actually thinks this. He obviously signed for the money.

Randolph and Carter left a playoff team to join Sacramento. They played themselves.

Note...in the OP, it does only say Hill is not happy and states the other vets, by default, can't be happy, either.

I can't imagine Vince and Z-Bo thought they were signing with an up and coming team, there's no way they weren't aware what a sh*t show Sac is.

This story seems fishy.

Im not buying this they had a different direction with Scott Perry and it changed when he left. Id get this if they all signed there when Cousins was still there then once they signed thats when Sac traded Cousins. They traded Cousins and were in a full time rebuild, what were these guys thinking when they got there? Watch out young guns the core of Hill, Randolph, VC, Temple are going to be the main core of this team and we are taking this team to the playoffs? That core wouldnt be doing any better than them playing their young guys.

The truth is all these old vets took the biggest contract they could get, now theyre trying not make it look like they werent just chasing the biggest contract, they went there thinking theyre going to win. Stop, from day 1 everyone knew what you all were doing, there was no chance Sac was going to make the playoffs this year.
