Magic/Jeanie Own it

Post#1 » by Dloading99 » Tue Dec 12, 2017 2:58 am

All of you in here are Knowledgeable Laker Fans. we all have passion for the Lakers.

When I came on Real GM today and read that Magic said we might not be players in 2018 and maybe wait for 2019.

I said okay here comes all the bS finally. he was nothing but a bSER. he was so sure about 2018. we will get two superstars. acting like a free agent told hm.

He traded Russell DLo for cap space and if he signs Paul George all good. that will be great. if Paul Signs and if Paul George told him he was signing.

if he gets Lebron that will be great and if Lebron signs and if Lebron told him he would sign great.

But Laker fans in here why can't you call out Magic. Why don't you rip Magic like you Ripped Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchack. Magic and Rob are doing the same thing. contineuosly promising Free agents. first it was Melo and Lebron then it was Kevin Durant then it was Russell Westbrook then it was Lebron.

Now we are really talking about Klay Thompson?????????? come on. what's going to be next Karl Anthony Towns Devin Booker. When are we going to say enough is enough. just say you aren't trying to sign free agents and you will sign your guys. be upfront with us. The fan base deserves that.

I see the same thing going on with the Dodgers. The team knows the fans will always show up cause it's the Dodgers and Lakers the fans will always come to the games. they will always make money off of us.

Jeanie took this team over. Why didn't she hire Jerry West or Promote Ryan West to president of Basketball operations. cause we know he's going to the clippers to work with his dad. there have been reports about that happening eventually.

Why hire the Jock. how does that usually work out look at Jeter. I mean really guys. this is what Magic is talking about.

Was Magic bought in so he could sale us bull cause he know we would buy it cause it's magic. Does Jeanie Really want to spend money on our young players. that's the easiest when you don't want to pay and be cheap well we don't want to pay Julius Randle or Deangelo Russell because we are clearing our cap space or Brandon Ingram. who's next Lonzo Ball Kyle Kuzma??????????

AT what point do we call these guys out???????? we keeping going off of this Free agents are going to want to come to the Lakers. The only ones spending money to keep their core guys are the warriors. and Klay is not coming. he enjoys Oakland he enjoys the Bay. You can hear Mychal say he aint going anywhere.

Damn All this Magic Boasting and now you hear 2019. Like I said Lebron to Houston kind of odd that Chris Paul Randomly Went there hugh.

The Lakers just have people put their names out there that hey the Lakers might be players to sign this guy. it's Bull. I've never seen this team look like this.

We got that superstar Kobe who have we signed Only Shaq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Shaq wanted to come here to do Movies. and Orlando didnt' want to pay him. and Shaq wanted to come here and Rap. Shaq was so great. but to have Magic come out here as puppet and act like us as fans are stupid is a joke.

We all kind of knew that Shaq wanted to come here. this team doesn't know who they are signing. they are talking mess. :noway:

hmm as a Huge Russell fan, the kid needs to get healthy or I can't hate the trade.

Magic, I have no problems criticizing though when it comes to anything outside of his pocket book. Apparently he thinks we have cap space for two max players. How in tune is he with our cap situation if he's saying that? We're nowhere close to being able to offer two max contracts right now.

And you guys get mad at me. Was this what you were talking about:

MAGIC JOHNSON
“I feel really good about it. Now, we have cap space for probably two max guys, but that’s not to say we’ll use both of them. We want to if we can, but we have a Plan A and we have Plan B. Say we only get one of those guys, then we’ll make a decision on not to use the cap space. We can do that and save it for the class that’s coming the next year. We’re not going to give money away just because we have the cap space. I’m not about that. If the guy can’t really take our team to another level, and we see what Kyrie Irving has done for the Boston Celtics. Put him with that young talent the Celtics have, and they’ve taken off. We feel the same thing can happen for the Lakers. If we get the right free agent, that guy can take our young talent to a whole ‘nother level.”

He basically said we are going after free agents this season. And I'm reading the bold and that tells me we got Paul George in the bag. To me he is certain we get Paul George. And I think what he is also saying is that if we don't get another max guy that we want, Lakers are going to save their cap and wait for the next free agency. Seems pretty logical. Dude is a shrewd businessman, he knows what he is doing.

Dude you lost me at Dslo ....

@Mods just block anything that keeps coming, he must be a member of family or friends or something? Surely you can't be this worked up over Dslo

Block please Or leave it open and when he creates another thread about Dslow just merge it

Sorry it was funny at first, but now it's just sad

Edit: I like the the fact we got rid of Dslo we were able to get rid of Mozgov's contract, If only It was Deng as I think having Mozgov a 2nd unit would of been ok and he'd be able to play oh well.

Bye, Bye Dslo

What's so wrong with the post e.g. Loser I talk to NBA people and have talked to NBA people

When you start trading young players and chasing free agents your team never gets better

You do realize that the Sacramento kings had isiah Thomas tyreke Evans and Demarcus cousins

Having organization and having a true plan
In place is what wins reckless trades like Steve Nash have hampered this organization nobody is disputing the horrible signings of mozgoff and deng but after being so vocal about 2018 and now back tracking to 2019 shows the same thing every free agency class the lakers will sign

Guess we'll see after this season. The stats are there nothing to show from a 2015 draft. With a pick going to Boston or philly

You got Brooke Lopez a career 20 point scorer not even being featured. But yeah magic said he would have this team winning again well see.

1) 2018 offseason hasnt happened yet so how can anyone criticize the front office. George, LeBron, Cousins are still in play. I think George is locked in for LA. The LeBron is disappointed by the Lakers young players and he might head to Houston might have legs which mightve prompted Magics response about not getting 2 max FA. But until the FO strikes out in '18 there is nothing to criticize.

2) Trading Russell was not purely a Mozgov salary dump for '18 move. If that was the case Lakers wouldve traded Mozgov (and Deng) in the '18 offseason when they only have 2 years left on their contracts. Magic spent a ton of time With DLO after he was hired. For whatever reason, he did not like DLO as a player, person, teammate etc. and he didnt want DLO to influence this Lakers team. Who knows right now if Magic was right or wrong.

It's not Magic's fault that Deng and Mozgov were signed to that ridiculous contracts. That's still hurting the franchise growth big time.

I really think Russell could've been developed as our AllStar SG of the future, I really do, but you got to make difficult decisions as a GM in order clear the messy situation he inherited.

About this summer free agency, every day it seems clearer that Bron is heading towards Houston and it's ok, makes sense. We need to focus on George and Cousins, that should be our goal.
Coming the trade deadline, explore the possibility of getting any of the disgruntled stars out there, Marc, Deandre, Witheside, maybe even CJ McCollum if the Blazers keep losing and decide to blow it up.

What could have been:

Zo/Clarkson
Russell
Ingram/Kuzma*
George/Nance
Cousins

Best case scenario this summer

Zo
Clarkson
Ingram
George
Cousins

I would try to convince Portland for McCollum with a combination of expirings and young players around deadline if they are going nowhere: KCP, Nance, Clarkson, Zubac, Randle, Lopez. I can see Jordan and Julius blossoming in their new destination if they land in the right place.

* we could have drafted Kuzma without trading away Dlo wit the Hou pick.

You lost me at Kings had Evans, Thomas, and Cousins. Thomas is injured, Evans is I don't even known and Cousins is balling but still losing.

Mitch and Jim traded two first rounders ( one a lottery pick) for the decrepit mummy that's Steve Nash. They traded a 1st rounder for Dwight Howard who ended up leaving for nothing. They let Artest go for nothing, got nothing for Gasol and didn't manage to sign a single allstar free agent in over 5 years. Then they went out and overpaid Deng and Mozgov.........

Yeah I'm willing to give Magic the benefit of the doubt.
