Russ is an extremely talented basketball player. I just don't think he uses his talents properly and seems to want to do things his way at all times whether right or wrong. I always thought Russ had the potential of being the best two way player in the NBA. To win you have to be willing to sacrifice something especially as a point guard for the better for your team. I don't think Russell gets that or ever will. Maybe one day he will it could be 2 years from now maybe even today but when that happens I think the sky's the limit for him and the team he is on.

Gotcha. So you basically zoned out from 2010 through 2017.

Im talking 12-17.

Nothing. He's clearly not winning. Except for all the winning he did.

I mean you literally said the best player or tied for it wasn't a winning player. On the winningest team in the west outside GSW and the Spurs the last decade.

That's a ridiculously laughable claim. This combined with takes from you on him elsewhere all lead to the same bad takes. Its not 2010.

Cole is one of the draft guys I respect the most, and he thinks Trae Young could be not just a good shooter, but a great one:

I'd be OK with trying to nab him in the draft if this holds.

Welcome Andre! It's nice to see people gaining hope to retain the draft pick every passing day!

I was away a few days for olive picking in my family's olive orchard without much use of phone or laptop and it was great with weather being incredibly soft for December. I uploaded a few pictures if anyone is interested.

Also here is the latest 29 point outing of our possible pick if we can stay below nr.11, the Sooners star Trae Young!

Do you think he’ll fall far enough to be in our range?

I don’t keep up with college basketball. If we keep our pick, what long, athletic and poor shooting player could be in our range?

He liked Alkins last year and he's still top 20ish. Maybe a backup big or Knox otherwise, but I think they're too close and far ahead to miss still. Just good enough to hang onto a lower seed.

It seems tough to see us dropping below the eight seed. Utah likely trades off players so that leaves the clips as the wild card. Unfortunately I think you’re right unless we have another major injury.

Actually it is possible. Unless LAC sells which seems unlikely.

Keep it as a possibility especially given it'll take forever to integrate anyone new

I didn't bump the thread but we are on a L4 streak. I can revive it if the team falls below .500 again

Watch this guy in the draft. Probably a 2nd-rounder, but given work ethic and size I could see him being a useful rotation player.

Also on Reaves:

https://www.thestepien.com/josh-reaves/

NBA Role: 3&D (in mold of Danny Green-Brogdon-Thompson role on D) but so far no Jumpshot to speak of. Which would make him mini-Roberson.

That was preseason I assume. He's also up to 38.6% from 3 at 3 attempts per game and a 74.4% FT percentage this year.

After tonight, we're gonna be even in the loss column all the down to the 9th seed.
