This is actually the lowpoint of the season for me. I'm ready to Sim the rest of the year and start the rebuild.

Bad news. There will be no rebuild until Russ retires or Presti is fired. Presti will not be fired. Even when Russ retires it won't be a real rebuild because they will have been getting late lottery picks that will have been just enough to keep them from ever bottoming out for top 5 picks so they will become the Hornets or Magic. Floating around the late lottery or being a 7/8 seed for the next 15 years. What fun we have to look forward to.

If Russ keeps playing at this level it doesn't matter, the rebuild will happen around him or he'll request a trade. Also, golden state was one of those mid-late lotto teams as well.

Also with draft reform our odds increase to get a good pick even if we are a treadmill team.

And I don’t know if anyone else heard it but on the Charlotte broadcast they said the team owner came in and talked to the OKC team so maybe he is nearing the end of his patience too. Can’t blame him with the money he is committed to.

If it’s true, I can only imagine it being a pep talk. Financial decisions wouldn’t be discussed as a threat in the locker room. I would be more interested if Presti and Bennett had a meeting and it was reported that clay stormed out mad.

Pretty much agree. It's a low risk high reward investment so this is not about money. If they believe a new coach would make a lot of difference, Billy D would be gone.
