Bad news. There will be no rebuild until Russ retires or Presti is fired. Presti will not be fired. Even when Russ retires it won't be a real rebuild because they will have been getting late lottery picks that will have been just enough to keep them from ever bottoming out for top 5 picks so they will become the Hornets or Magic. Floating around the late lottery or being a 7/8 seed for the next 15 years. What fun we have to look forward to.

If Russ keeps playing at this level it doesn't matter, the rebuild will happen around him or he'll request a trade. Also, golden state was one of those mid-late lotto teams as well.

Also with draft reform our odds increase to get a good pick even if we are a treadmill team.

And I don’t know if anyone else heard it but on the Charlotte broadcast they said the team owner came in and talked to the OKC team so maybe he is nearing the end of his patience too. Can’t blame him with the money he is committed to.

Anybody else hear this?

If it’s true, I can only imagine it being a pep talk. Financial decisions wouldn’t be discussed as a threat in the locker room. I would be more interested if Presti and Bennett had a meeting and it was reported that clay stormed out mad.

Hope he's doing the same to Presti to find some coaching change...

The good part of our limited roster is that we don't have any trade assets (if we still want to win something this year) so in the end the only big change that can happen is...go back to Florida Billy D.

LMAO. Someone should really send a search party. I'm not sure Melo's plane ever actually landed in OKC in September.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Serge Ibaka the Wise? It's not a tale the Thunder would tell you

Billy makes alot of money, paying him for 3 more years plus the new coach is gonna weigh heavy on our tax.

He means we probably won't shell out the money. Isn't he owed like 3/15 or even more? And a new coach won't come here for free either.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

That's all nice and funny, but at least someone on this team is showing some emotion.

Ah gotcha.

Agree he's going nowhere but I'm not sure its for money reasons. Just blow it up at this point.

Pretty much agree. It's a low risk high reward investment so this is not about money. If they believe a new coach would make a lot of difference, Billy D would be gone.

Obligatory /r/prequelmemes is leaking.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
