also why the hell is Josh Jackson starting and getting so many minutes? What has he done to be rewarded with that role? he was terrible off the bench and continues to be as as a heavy minute starter.

bad habits rewarded with minutes = bad development. teach him to play the right way before upping the minutes. reminds me of how Watson rewarded Chriss with a permanent starting spot for no real reason other than being like a son to him

Yes, I agree, but we are very short on options with Booker out, our experienced draftee Davon Reed out, even the terrible Brandon Knight out. We could start Daniels which would make more sense due to better spacing, but Triano said he likes the defensive intensity he brings, which is something we also need.

Haven't seen you in the Suns threads with your astute Bender observations, though he is playing better tonight and last game than he had in the previous few. The Suns are just short on options and talent at the moment.

Yeah Bender has had some really poor games lately. Think a combo of X's/O's stuff keeping him spotted up instead of used on the elbow where he can showcase his vision/off-the-dribble game, and him really needing to bring consistent fight chasing boards.

Sometimes I wonder if his mentality is more of a wing than a big - if he could get that mentality where every board is his (and continued strength development), would really help his game. Obviously you'd like for the handle and shot to continue to improve, but short-term think his in-paint mentality could be an area of focus.

Later on, maybe someone can teach him how to really take advantage of post mismatches. Already knows to seal smaller guys, but when he gets the ball down there he doesn't have the power skillset.
