What if they keep getting better? What if Dunn actually redeems his value as the #5 pick?... What if Lauri shows he was even better than the #7th pick in his draft? What if Lavine looks like a high lotto pick and the real deal when he comes back? What if this is the real Niko and plays like a high lottery pick from here on out? What if Nwaba just keeps doing what he's doing?

What if the Bulls win more than expected, get to around 26 wins with 20 games left and finished the season on like a 15-5 run with a .500 record and squeaked into the playoffs. Then won in the 1st round. How would you feel about that team with say the 13th pick in next years draft? Vs. one of worst teams in league and the 5th pick?

I’d take 10 wins and getting a superstar over 35 wins and getting a role player.

If it was that black and white, then yes, of course. But how about 35 wins and drafting #8, or 10 wins, and about 1 in 10 chance of getting a superstar? Because that is probably what the odds are, even when drafting in top 4. They may not even be that good. UT got Donovan Mitchell where in the draft? Not that high. And he looks like best player in that class right now.

He has Offensive Rating of 122, Defensive of 106. Before tonight. Niko was second best at +14, everybody else negative or at best slightly positive. (Grant and Felicio! next at +2).

The issue is in the off-season no other team believed in Niko enough to make him an offer, and then he got into a fight with a teammate. I don’t think any GM is going to give us a great offer off of a 4 game sample size.

Came to say this. Legit the worst front office in the league. When they want to win, they put a tragic team together. When they want to lose, they put a stacked team together. Its crazy

You need stars to win in the NBA. Dunn looks good, but the odds of him being a star are low. Ditto with Markkanen and I'm lower on Lavine than most. Good player but not a star. You need a star to put around these pieces.

Yep.

The last 3 winners of the draft lottery had the worst record in the league, which is tied for the longest streak in the lottery's history. We're probably overdue for some variance this year. It's very possible the Bulls could have the worst record and end up at 4.

Okay I'm legit concerned right now. I mean, when the hell did Niko turn into Tom Chambers over the offseason?

Winning is cool and all but they need to chill the **** out.

Niko is their most valuable trade piece, he can't be moved until January 15th. His contract and his play should make him worth something like the nets pick (10th worse record) anything less would be stupidity

You cannot look at how this team is playing and say their likely record should be projected on our full season record.

Niko and Portis were both out to start the year, Dunn clearly is progressing, and LaVine is back soon.

We started out with Grant at pg. And wasn't Zipser starting? And Felicio playing big minutes, and Key Felder and Poindexter. No Bobby, Niko, no Dunn, no Nwaba. Those are arguably 4 of our 6 best players right now.

You can't possibly blame the front office for young players playing hard and wanting to win games.

There is no surefire superstar in this draft so you are basically you want everyone to suck including including the three players we trade Butler for. If we win because some valuable pieces step up so be it.

We won't get 30 wins. Lopez and Portis at minimum will be gone. Maybe switch Niko for Portis, but no dumping him for pennies on the dollar.

For one, Robin Lopez should have never started the season on this team. I've said that all year.

Remember when Grant was ripped for playing the 2-man game with Lopez? That is what Dunn did tonight. But he did it well, so credit to him.

If we finish this season and don't get a lottery pick. Disastrous. Time to pull some trades.

It's not common, but it's more of a combination of Mirotic and some young players getting confidence and struggling teams.

Charlotte's lost 7 of their last 10.
New York is mediocre.
Boston played without Kyrie.
Utah's lost 4 in a row.

The Bulls are on pace for 21 wins now, which is 1 off the worst record in the league of last season.

Except that pace means nothing.
