Jordan was mailing that game in. Didn't even show any effort and was able to dominate

Oh man we hit 12/21 FTs. 57%. Elf almost shot the three that well tonight. Let that sink in.

If we're really tanking, then I'll lay off of Vogel a bit even though I still think he's not that good.

Frankly I just think we suck. Team has no chemistry and seems to have lost all confidence in this "system" we run.

I don't think we're tanking... We've definitely tanked in the past (JV I'm looking at you) but we just suck right now (and are killed by injuries). Frank needs to go in a year or two.

Since the season is going nowhere, I’d be keen to let him loose for the remainder of the season. Let’s see how he responds to the Booker treatment.

Isaac
Gordon
Hezonja
Simmons
(Insert)

At the very least it would help us tank and inflate his trade value.

Speaking of which, since we didn’t pick up Mario’s option is he a UFA this summer, leaving us no opportunity to match an offer he might get elsewhere?

I agree with you on that lineup. Yeah we can't match but I believe he can't earn any higher than what his option was worth at so he is still at an attainable price.

Frank Mason is a legitimate NBA player.

We had multiple picks and decided Iwundu was the only valuable player... and traded multiple picks for trash... and people have faith in this new front office?

I'm not even as mad that they didn't land a quality player later in the draft. I'm more annoyed that they decided to just punt on the opportunity to land one despite there being value there. Outside of signing Simmons to a decent deal, the new front office hasn't really done much to prove that they're going to change things for us.

Frank's press conferences are starting to piss me off. Maybe it has to do with the lame questions that are always asked after the game.

You clearly haven’t seen the +/- numbers for lineups with Mack. #gamechanger

Even Simmons hasn't exactly wowed me. The team-friendly deal we signed him to is nice and he puts some decent counting stats but he's looked pretty poor on defense, doesn't stretch the floor, and he rarely makes plays for anybody else.

We need a **** star on this team, point blank.

AG and Isaac has the best chances to become that star.

If we keep trying to force the offense/roster anywhere else it'll be a disaster.

Agreed but we need to be smart about it too. For instance, would you trade AG and Isaac for PG13? I don't think I would. Especially with his contract situation. Then again, I'm not the biggest believer in PG13 being the #1 guy on a contender.

"We don't want to have 4 rookies on the roster."

*loses 50+ games with locker room strife and losing culture anyway*

That's one of those old school GMing for Dummies philosophies that just doesn't carry much weight. You say you want to draft a high character guy. Ok, so you draft a high character guy. But then you apparently don't believe he's a high character guy so you fill your roster with net negative veterans and play them over the rookie to teach him how things are earned. Which is what, exactly? That you earn playing time simply based on age?

I mean hey, if a guy is a knucklehead, then absolutely, bring him down a notch. But if he's got a good head on his shoulders, you're only hurting yourself by not giving him floor time.

"But then he thinks he's entitled and doesn't have to work."

Not if he has a good head on his shoulders.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I have a feeling we'll get a good pick, end up with a shot at doncic, pass because management worry about him being like mario, doncic then goes to the next team and becomes the face of the league while we have another reason to hate mario

Only 2.5 games out of a top 3 pick. I'd forgive the Magic for everything if they went full on Process and just aimed for a top 3 pick.

Me too. Resign AG, let him and Isaac get their reps in while we get a top 3 pick this year. That's all I care about at this point. Ideally, this would be our starting lineup next year:

Kemba (yeah, I know but that's who I would throw a max contract at if we can make it happen)
Evan
Isaac
AG
Ayton

I could definitely get behind that roster.

didn't watch... But its pretty much the Orlando Magic Bench Warmers/D-Leaguers vs. rotational NBA players the last few games..

Can't expect much when two of your best players are out (and you still already suck WITH them playing).

The tank isn't strong enough as there are worse teams (IMO). They just need the luck of the bounce to penetrate the top 3.
