Unlikely. Same with tomorrow.

It sounds like Kenny wants the performance team to work on their conditioning and get them up to speed for the pace we play. That includes practice time which is fair.

It would look bad on our part if we threw them out there regardless of the minutes earned by everyone else in a winning stretch.

INJURY REPORT:

Okafor - QUESTIONABLE (training)
Stauskas - QUESTIONABLE (training)

The Nets have won three of four, and five of their last eight. And Tuesday’s victory came thanks to airtight defense down the stretch. They saw Bradley Beal score a game-high 28 points, but held him to 11-of-33 from the floor and forced him into missing three-of-four shots with a turnover in the final two minutes.

“It was just that I-don’t-care attitude. If you miss, you miss. That used to be my problem in the past, missing shots and then I’d start getting tentative and looking to pass up my shot,” Crabbe said. “Every time I’ve missed a shot, coaches and teammates have told me you shoot the next one.

“It was our defense entirely,” coach Kenny Atkinson said. “We held them to 20 points in the fourth quarter. Our guys really locked in, did a good job on Beal.”

“When we can defend like that even when we’re not hitting shots we’re going to be a good team,” said Caris LeVert, who had 16 points, eight assists and helped harass Beal late.

It’s just pride, really. It comes from within. You can’t teach defense, really. It’s all effort. And I feel like guys are buying in. and then when you get stops and get out on the break you open up a lot of things,” Crabbe said.

I made a bet with my friend that jahlil will have a 20 point game one of his first 3 games.
If Jahlil plays, he would have to have 20 points in 5 minutes or less. I have 3% confidence I will keep my $5.

”I know [Porzingis] is my matchup,” Hollis-Jefferson said after Nets practice Wednesday. “Every time we play against each other, we always make each other better.

“He knows what he’s going to get from me: gritty, going to play defense. And vice versa, I know what I’m going to get from him. It comes down to who is going to compete harder.”

Should be a fun game! Acy almost always balls out vs the Knix, so OK4 might not get burn in this game either.

Game will most likely come down to defense.

We shall see how long coach Atkinson sticks to his guns regarding Oakfor doesn't play until he earns it. I'm willing to bet he earns some minutes tonight against the Knix.

What gets me giddy about this article is the throw away near the end about Rondae's three-point shooting, it won't happen this year but I'm now a firm believer that Rondae is capable of expanding his range out to the three-point line.

Rondae with a three... Can you imagine that?

Can't be understated that these two were teammates in the NBA African tour this summer. Rondae should be looking to bring it to KP tonight on both ends. Take him right to the rack

well, so far he's shooting 30% from downtown on low volume. i think next season he'll improve, right now its best for him to keep knocking down the automatic mid range J.

re: Okafor, I know everyone is eager to see him play but its best to let Kenny and the staff do what they have to do to get the guy ready to play in this system. If you want Okafor to be apart of this team going forward and for him to succeed, you'll be patient with him and the coaching and training team who are probably working overtime to get this dude ready.

I'd rather see a properly conditioned Okafor who knows his role within our offensive/defensive sets play basketball on December 30th for the first time this season than I would seeing an Okafor who isn't used to playing at our pace and doesn't know his role freelancing it and failing miserably on December 14th.

one thing about Rondae is that you feel confident about him improving, he works hard has good instincts on both ends... it is just a matter of time that he will be a pretty good player in this league for a long time

Yeah it's not like we got him at the trade deadline or we're desperate for a backup center. We have like 50 games to evaluate him and we already have Zeller + Allen playing very solid at his spot. I'd rather he get some practices in and understand the system and team.
