I have thoughts and I'm trying to work my way through them. But maybe more than anything else is the spectrum. I can't believe the bands that are getting lumped together.

Good show as always, but the entire upper deck and club level was closed (to be fair, they had more floor/GA attendance than most concerts would due to nature of their stage). Heard this was the case at a lot of other shows on this tour. Saw them 3 years ago at a nearly packed arena.
They fired their manager last week. I’m wondering if the firing is because they wanted to go MORE in this direction or they felt steered the wrong way. I didn’t like the new album and wonder how much that played into the trash attendance. Apparently the marketing for the album was also not great.

Their shows went down hill after Reflector. Having the last two albums be the worst of your library is always going to be problematic for attendance; and if we are being fair, before those albums they were playing smaller venues. I have seen them 4-5 times and the last was by far the A) worst show B) biggest venue C) most expensive. I saw them at UIC (~4000) with The National opening for them from about 12 feet away and is probably the my favorite concert experience to date.
The fact that I didn't even know they were coming through is probably a really really bad sign for them.

This is the big problem with the list. You fall down a rabbit hole of "Well if X made it how the hell is Y not on there?" I mean, how can you make a top 50 pop punk bands list and leave out Thrice, Strung Out, No Use for a Name, Glassjaw, Mineral, Jack's Mannequin, The Bronx, The Movielife, Sugarcult, The All-American Rejects, Avenged Sevenfold, Avril Lavigne, Goldfinger, Midtown, Transplants, Gob, Brand New, My Chemical Romance, Finch, Damone, Dead Kennedys, Saosin, Story of the Year, The Donnas, Good Riddance, Senses Fail, Matchbook Romance, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Thursday, Say Anything, Something Corporate, Straylight Run, Taking Back Sunday, Unwritten Law, The Used, and The Vandals?
