Saw it last night and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. It did not feel like Star Wars to me.

If you learn nothing from this movie, know the Skywalker lineage produces some of the biggest self-absorbed turds in the galaxy.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!

I'm planning to see it next week once the movie hype dies down. Keep hearing it's the best one out of the entire Star Wars movies.

Seeing Sunday with my dad. :-? One of my best friends (same SW nerd like us) hated it, but my other best friend (non-SW fan, saw only a few) loved it.

Damnit. When are you seeing it? Look into moviepass btw and see if theaters you go to support it. I’m looking into it.

Real talk though, gimme more books. Disney making the good stuff legends still bothers me.

This x1000. I don't need Legends movies but I need more books.

Saw it today. Liked it more than TFA, but didn't love it. Some really high highs and really low lows.

Just the prequel to Rogue One which I thought was pretty good. It's a slow burn and mostly character development, but I definitely enjoyed Rogue One more because of it. Lots of good info on what happens between Episode 3 and 4 too. Haven't touched any of the other new expanded universe ones because I've heard mixed things and I've been trying to finish up Fate of the Jedi. I'll definitely read Thrawn at some point though. How about you?

I've read spoilers on reddit, and quite a few things really pissed me off that i won't mention. I'll still see it this weekend though.

Saw it last night with my son.
Was entertaining and all, but the plot left a lot to be desired. Definitely had some high points but some scenes were just so bad.

I give it a 7/10.
My second grade son said it was his favorite movie ever and gave it a 10/10.

Rogue One was significantly better than this film. To be honest it’s difficult to even put both in the same sentence.

I've read Lords of the Sith (awesome book, gotta check that one out), Catalyst (this is the one you're talking about, right? I liked it a lot.), Ashoka, Battlefront II (bought that by accident on Kindle...just ok), Bloodline (this was cool as well), Aftermath, and Heir to the Jedi.

I'd like more Jedi-oriented ones, though. :-?

Totally agree. Really felt this was totally lazy writing. Saw it Thursday night and the more I think about it the angrier I get. Character development and arcs are non-existent. People that I was super psyched to learn more about hardly even get to scratch the surface on.

I mean there are a few surprises at the end I didn’t see coming for sure but honestly they just make IX that much more confusing to me. They either have some really awesome plan on how to put a bow on this or it’s going to be a massive let down.
