No I don't mean an example where "my cousin's mother in laws nephew's nieces son had the same injury and came back in a week". I mean legitimate examples of this same injury. I looked and couldn't find any but since your speaking with some decisiveness maybe you've seen an example of this injury before.

since i dont know ANY PLAYER in the history of sports who had this **** and missed games, its one more reason to think this is complete BS.

So basically an argument from ignorance. I'd delete my post if I said something like this on a public forum. "I don't understand it, therefore it's BS".

Exactly. It's childlike ignorance. I don't understand why the twin towers would collapse so 9/11 must have been a conspiracy.

where do you see ignorance? ignorance would be if i said its BS fultz didnt play one day after he had a torn ACL.

my post is more about suspisciousness than anything else.

Look up argument from ignorance. Is a logical fallacy.

Even if every 76ers claim is false, it doesn't make your conspiracy alternatives valid or plausible. It just means that WE DON'T KNOW. And neither do you. And there is no evidence to support absurd hypothesis that they did it because he's a mental midget, or he forgot how to shoot, or something like that. For that, you'd have to have evidence.

And "the alternative is unlikely" is not reason enough to believe a claim. Or at least it shouldn't, if you were a rational, critical thinker.

Your proposal is just as valid and based on facts as me saying "I think they're secretly tanking by keeping fultz out. He'd play great and get them to a top 4 seed, but they prefer to be a lower seed and get a better pick"

My claim and yours are equally unfounded. And both 'seem' nice considering the 76ers have been a little shady and things don't add up.

yet, it's stupid to conclude anything. The only thing we're certain is that "We don't know". I know conspiracy theories are cool, but reality says hi

We aren't dealing with perfect information. But, there is a wide range of knowing absolutely nothing to knowing absolutely everything. We aren't at either end of the spectrum. We are somewhere in the middle. And given that we are somewhere in the middle we are able to make inferences on plausible scenarios.

To me, given the information available, it seems very likely that there is a mental component to his recovery. And by mental component I mean something different from the typical situation where a player is coming back from an injury. It isn't guaranteed but we have enough information to connect the dots.

Please don't associate me with the post above. I am definitely distancing myself from that.

im not a native-speaker so i dont know if plausible doesnt mean what i mean. what i mean with plausible is="it could very possible be"

i dont see why this would equalize saying that i know that this the case. i dont. there is no evidence for one argument or the other. its just how the things look, they doesnt look right.

as i said.. i dont say its valid because i dont know it yet, but yes, you could say that and its not far-fetched. sixers did the exact same thing with simmons last year. or do you believe simmons needed 1 year instead of 3 months to heal a jones fracture? KD played 6 weeks after that...(although its not recommended)

what stupid about it? its an opininon that might or not be true. conspiracy theories has to be checked before judged. people just wont do it because it means investing time for something they dont want to be true.

Okay. So here is whats going to happen. I'm locking this.

I'm leaving this locked for the weekend. I'm going to have an awesome weekend. And when the weekend is done, I'm going to unlock this. If anyone thinks they must talk Fultz before Monday, pm a different mod to open it and assume that there is zero leewaay on what gets a warning if the thread does get unlocked.

Because I'm not clicking this thread to see 9/11 references or a parade of personal insults and not going to ban every single violator for 24 hours going forward. So, lets take a few days to adjust to not doing everything that has made this thread need to get locked for a time out.

Spoiler:
Also, when I have such a great weekend that I forget to unlock this, someone feel free to pm me or another mod.

Alright, this topic has officially jumped the shark. Can we please just leave this thread alone until there is an actual update or news on Fultz?

Oh yeah, oops:

Posts that are not courteous in nature are subject to warnings and all of the forum mods will be quick on those triggers.

By all means disagree, but do so without calling someone ignorant and in any way making disagreements into personal attacks.

If Kelle is the best prospect, he could be out of two years and it wouldn't make a difference. Geez, you people are impatient.

He's fine. He'll be back soon. Not only is he the best prospect, but he fills the one position the sixers have NOBODY (TJ is a nice backup, that 's it).

It's difficult to assess a player even after their rookie contract (4 years), let alone in december of his first year when he hasn't even played healthy yet.
