Re: Game 29: New Orleans Pelicans @ Denver Nuggets 9:00 PM ET
The Nuggets usually win or lose by double-digits and they're hard to predict. It seems the Nuggets were cautious with Jokic's return - and that seems wise. So he should be ready tonight. Will Harris & Murray lead the scoring? Seems likely.
It appears Chandler will be starting at PF against Davis and that will be a tough match-up for him. He may expend most of his energy on defense, leaving less energy for offense.
Last I heard, Barton was questionable because of his back, but he usually plays so ...
Pelicans have been hitting lots of 3s - nearly 50%. In order to win tonight, the Nuggets will have to slow that down.
Attacking Cousins, getting him frustrated usually leads to foul-trouble for him and that's good for their opponents.

Jokic getting disrespected by Malone again , coming off the bench , Imagine if Antony Davis was starting off the bench after missing some of the games. Nurkic was missing some time , but was inserted back into starting line. I really think that Malone hates Jokic. No star player is mishandled like Jokic is , under this coach.

Very important win because most important matches for us this season are against NOP, POR ant UTA. I have no idea what Malone tried to prove with Jokic tonight, so I will not comment it.

Well.... glad we got the win. Super frustrating that only 1 of the 4 bars I was at downtown had the game on (all 4 had the HOU/SA blowout on). This city better wake up quick to the fact that they have a pretty good team.

First time I got to see AD in person and I have to say I was not impressed. I know he's coming back from a recent injury but he was going up Lyles and Faried and he did little to take control of any part of this game. Did he get his points, yeah, but I expected more. Cousins on the other hand, played inside, played outside...got a few of those superstar calls. I'd be very surprised if they trade him or don't resign him.

I ended up not getting to see a lot of this because i watched the hornets then the end of Phil-OKC which went to 3 OT... by the time i got back from grabbing food this one was towards the end of regulation.
But definitely a big win. Was Jokic on a minutes restriction or did he look gimpy or anything???

From what I saw, Jokic is still rounding into game-shape, his passing wasn't crisp and his game didn't seem 100%. Still very glad to see him back on the court and he'll be ready soon but better safe than sorry IMO

Every single time I'm ever out during a game, I have to ask someone to put it on a tv. And it usually takes at least two tries before they actually do it. But on the plus side, the crowds at the games this year have been way better than the last few years, so people are definitely starting to take notice of this team.
This was huge win. That's exactly the kind of game this team typically finds a way to lose given the physical nature and close ending. I'm pretty excited about what we've seen from Lyles the last couples weeks. Plumlee was great tonight too.

You say, "I'm a Nuggets fan" but you wear a Hornets logo and then you come in and say, "I watched the Hornets and then Phil-OKC"? Your posts would be far less offensive if you would be honest and say, "I'm a Hornets fan but I really like the Nuggets." And perhaps instead of wearing a Hornets logo and saying "We" about the Nuggets, you'd say "You". That's what most people do. That's what I do when I visit another team's forum. Many forums are far less tolerant than the Nuggets fans have been regarding your postings.

Your obsession with me is odd. I flipped to the OKC-Philly game because there was 3 seconds left in regulation and everyone was raving about the embiid block on westbrook to keep the game tied. The game went to 3 overtimes. Who the heck flips off a game in the third overtime? Den - NO was still in the first half. I am a basketball fan first and foremost. I don't have to see every second of all 82 games to be a fan of a team.

Re: Game 29: New Orleans Pelicans @ Denver Nuggets 9:00 PM ET
Had to watch the game late - thankful for being able to record games (which was invented a few decades ago ).
It was a good win, spending most of the game behind makes it hard to win. Barton-Lyles off the bench helped IMO.
Pelicans - Davis & Cousins = 57 points --- 44% from 3 as a team - 47% FG - Denver defense was still in Boston.
Nuggets - Loved what I saw of Craig --- Plumlee played fairly well.
Offense specialized in standing still and they did it well. Lots of players watching teammates go one-on-one.
Lyles was my MVP for this game.

I know how to record games, but my priority is always Denver. I am not obsessed with you. You irritate people on the Denver board all the time and I have tried to explain it to you. Tonight you come in and say two other games are more important than Denver but you frequently tell us you are a Denver fan. Now you say you are a basketball fan. I will watch the entire OKC-Philly game in the morning. As a moderator here, I'd prefer to keep fans of other teams from bashing on the Nuggets too much, a little of that goes a long ways. We had a couple of fnas from other boards come here yesterday and make some intelligent and acceptable posts. When visiting another team's board, that is proper. Saying something negative is more palatable when accompanied by something good. More than one moderator has attempted to teach you this lesson. Your recent posts have been better and I thank you for that. Tonight's was somewhat a slap in the face and there seemed no reason to come to this board to tell us two other games were more important than Denver's game.

Symptoms of some eventual Jokic/Malone issues is a new phenom, there is nothing like that during last season (after December 15, when Jokic finally get starting job) or during this offseason with which this video is related. Or at least I can't remember cases from last season when Jokic is sidelined as the first player from starting lineup to be punished when things going wrong, or when he needs just one assist or point for a triple-double (twice this season), or not playing final minutes of many games with active result as the only player in NBA with such "problem" which is teams best player, elite FT% shooter and one of the team's best defenders (so literally there are no reasons for him to be on bench so often during 4th quarters). Not to mention that Jokic is right now #98 player in NBA in minutes per game category, which is bizarre stats for an all-star level player to see him playing just 29ppg while for example there is 37mpg in stats box of rookie Simmons which miss whole last season because of injury, or also 37mpg case of Wiggins which is #1 pick from Nikola draft class but arguably playing worse. I don't say he should play 37+mpg, which can be dangerous for a young player, but at least 33+ for superstar without big injury issues and such positive impact on his team is something expected, especially not to see him coming from the bench and playing just 22 minutes in an OT game against our this season playoff arch-enemy (there is big reason why Davis risk so much playing obviously injured whole overtime yesterday, because this match is so important).
But OK, I will put this discussion in this already dead thread because I don't have any relevant proof that some real Malone/Jokic problem exists, so maybe all this, let's call it "bizarre facts", is just a product of several unplanned circumstances, so no need for overreaction or panic button.

Well who watches a 7-win team over a 15-win team except for a true fan of the 7-win team, shows true alliance to your team.

I really don't care if you "follow" the Nuggets, in fact an outsiders opinion can be welcome. For me, it's all the "back-handed compliments" used that try to dumb it down from a slap in the face. I will say I have noticed you calming down that sort of content and I appreciate it, but sorry to say I don't see you making Nugget Santa's nice list, at least not this year.
