Who's guarding Porzingis on Thursday? My bet is Afro.

Rondae has had a heap of success guarding Zinger in the past. He’ll get the start. I hope JA does get some time on him though. Will be a big challenge to see how he goes extanding his D to the perimeter.

I remember KP killing him and thinking he's too tall for Rondae, cuz he gonna shoot over the top on him, take him to the block, shoot over, draw the double, take him to the arc and shoot over. He can't do that wit

Rondae locked up KP twice in preseaon, did a great job last year and the end of the year on him and also held his own in this years meeting ... although KP did hit a few hooks over him.

i like Rondae on him. id rather have KP backing down rndae then driving on allen or worse pulling allen away from the rim where he cant help on D

that was a different KP doh.

You make a valid point on Rondae on KP means more back to the basket, turn around shot, weak side can't collapse on him. But if Allen picks him up top of the 3 he runs him off that line. I'd rather have KP shooting runners and getting 1-3 dribble shots than a turn around jumper. I don't know it's tough to rate the D on KP effect.

some of his points came off extra effort plays from our D breaking down, not a great night for our guards this night. I'm trying to picture this.

EDIT: Divulging Porzingis' weakness. He struggles shooting the pull up shot. 40.4 % is his high. And once you run him off a line and close hard 37.5% (these are 1 dribble shots)

One day I'll figure out why you guys are obsessed with playing Allen at PF and pulling him away from protecting the rim. Today isn't that day.

Not concerned at all about who RHJ guards at PF. Worst case scenario, he makes them work for it and doesn't give them open shots.

it's not an obsession, it's about his tools. He can guard the perimeter. Now yes you are right here. Like Prokorov also said. Rondae is going to make him back to the basket turn around jumper on him, but I said it is going to make Porzingis shoot 3's. Those are long rebounds that we have to be ready for b/c Kanter is a problem.

Why are you ok with crabbe shooting them but not dinwiddie at that frequency? Crabbe is shooting it at 37.3%, Dinwiddie at 36.7% thats nearly identical.

It's because I like that Spurs thing of people understamding their role on the team, and knowing where they can contribute the most.

Crabbe s a shooter first and foremost. Just like it's never a mistake to have Klay Thompson shoot open shots, for me, the same is true for Crabbe. Regardless of whether he's in a shooting slump or not

Din can contribute more in other ways - he's a fantastic facilitator - I really believe that'swhere he should be focusing

KP did us dirty last time but overall the team played poorly.

RIght now we are lot better defensively and Rondae is playing at a high level. No reason why we should change up what we're doing. Force KP into contested midrange and pull up shots with a hand in his face and if he makes them oh well. meanwhile, we need to make sure that no one else on the knicks does anything remotely of importance.

Naw, there were definitely some questionable shots he took, especially down the stretch. (based off my memory)

without Lin and Russell, it is a little concerning that all Nets could get at the end of a tight game were 3 balls...the Crabbe 3 was a good draw-up play after TO, other than that, when Din had mismatches, he probably should have explored more by cross over and drive to the rim than settling for threes,
overall, the team's defense has been pretty impressive, very cohesive, that's how you build up and develop a team...

Well, all you can hope is we continue to tread water and by the time D-Loading is back we're between 3 and 6 games under .500 and within a few games back he is a man on fire.
