Nashty, Game 31 vs Timberwolves

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Sun Dec 17, 2017 3:34 am

Standings

How it works
Spoiler:
After each Suns game, an MVP thread will be opened for you to vote for your top 3 players. These threads can be created by anyone, as long as there isn't currently a thread for that game.

Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+3 Len

+1 Canaan

Jackson had a good game too, as did Daniels.

+3 Canaan.15/5/7 in his first game in off the street. Plus the heads-up to draw the foul and hit all 3 free throws to win the game. Clutch.
+1 Len. Played like he was trying to prove something. Hope to see this more.
+1 Daniels. His shooting kept us in the game.
+1 Bender. Breakout game. Really glad to see this. Should be a confidence booster.

+2 Canaan. The man of the game because he was signed from the G-League a couple of days ago. Terrific overall game.
+2 Len. He defended pretty well and was super active. 19 rebounds and some good passes.

+1 Bender. Great to see a good game from him. His shooting was money in this game, hopefully he builds confidence after this performance.
+1 Daniels. He has stepped up his game with Booker out and he played another really good game tonight. He was even decent on defense

HM to Jackson. 13 points, 8 rebounds and only 1 TO.

^ for me too. Alex played some solid interior D, especially late. Dragan made them pay. Canaan balled and made the savvy final play.

Was able to catch the second half after work. I've been out of the loop with moving and finding a job and looking for apartments. Didn't even know we signed Canaan until he scored. He gets a +1 for every game because he's not Mike James. But he also deserves it for this game for his play.

+2.5 Bustex Len. One of his best games as a pro. Great job finishing, kicking it, deflecting passes, and controlling the paint.
+2 Dragan Buster. The reason for the run. Our second unit doesn't twice erase double-digit leads were it not for the threes raining down on them.
+1.5 Canaan. It should tell you something when you can bring a guy in from the D League and he instantly outplays your starting PG.
HM Troy Daniels. Should be starting over JJ.

The bench saved Ulis, Chriss and Warren from getting some Cactus.

... That's four consecutive strong games for Dragan, and this one was the best. The crow pie is in the oven, and I feel like most of this board may deserve a slice.
