Mirotic took Felicio's role but he also took Holiday's shots and volume. Which effectively killed 2 problems with one move. It also bring back Holiday back to his natural 3andD role. And when Lavine returns he will effectively take Zipser and Denzel's minutes and shots before he slowly starts cuting into Holiday's minutes.

Ya its like the pieces actually fit together on this team when everyones healthy. They still dont have a long athletic wing who can guard guys like Durant, Simmons, Lebron, etc... Nwaba, Lavine, and Valentine are really 2 guards. I think this is why Zipser is getting any playing time because he's the only one on the roster with a 3 body type. Unfortunately, he's obviously not a legit starter or even rotational piece

Re: The Tank Trio: Holiday, Felicio, Zipser
what i wanted is the lineup of
PG: Dunn, SG: Nwaba, SF: Mirotic, PF: Lauri, C: Bobby
then we back them up with Felicio, Zipser, Holliday, Payne, Felton, you name it ...
we dont need to make the start line bad. we just need to return to have a 3rd string worth 2nd line like we had on our first 10 games or so

I feel responsible for killing the tank with this thread. But it was only the beginning. I think everyone now agrees with my watchability comment now. This team is very exciting now, and perhaps even playoff bound.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

Right now, all we have is Markannen and he isn't looking so great (although as I have said I am not concerned and think his recent play is more a product of his environment). Dunn may be something, who knows, but certainly doesn't look like he is going to be an all-star (and it isn't like he is THAT young). Nwaba looks like a solid bench contributor on a good team but not sure he will ever be helpful to the Bulls.
No way is it harder to watch than the Floyd/Cartwright teams. Even though we had Crawford, he played like he was wearing a straightjacket on the court as they fruitlessly tried to employ him as a pure PG. I loved the bulls taking Crawford, as he balled like a maniac for the 10 or so games he played at Michigan, but I was almost absolutely sure when he left Chicago he would be out of the league in a few years. At that point in Crawford's career, he was neither a good player nor an entertaining player. He was mostly obsessed with sticking his man with crossovers and then not finishing or missing a pullup J. Chandler was lost offensively for years, really didn't find his niche on offense till years later, after his athleticism and defense had carried him through his early years in the league. Curry was probably the most intriguing player, but struggled staying on the court and had serious issues with conditioning so his mins were low when he played for the Bulls. His game was never that pretty to begin with, anyway.
This years iteration is light years ahead of the nightmares of years past. Those teams had little to no ball movement, and plodded down the court. They also had zero marketable stars during that time period, as neither Chandler nor Curry became an allstar for the bulls. There is at least 3 players I enjoy watching more now than anyone off those horrible bulls teams, as IMO Dunn, LaVine, and Markkanen are all more dynamic and watchable than anyone on the roster back then.
Honestly, looking back, those were some dark days, with Jayson riding his motorcycle into a pylon and the Bulls whiffing repeatedly with draft picks. Even the draft picks that turned out to be all-star 15 year vets like Chandler and Crawford were mere shadows of themselves when they played for the Bulls. Chandler looked like a fool out there for his rookie year, totally lost, its quite amazing his basketball IQ turned out to be as good as it is.
