Harold Landry's stock is down low enough to possibly justify drafting him.

The rest of the draft is just so meh. And I didn't list the safeties because I think the Niners are set there.

There might be some finds at C or G later in the draft, but nothing to get excited about.

Ridley actually makes the most sense as far as need goes because there are so few options at WR in FA, but I don't believe in picking for need unless he's the last piece you need.

Are you talking AT ALL or just likely top guys? I haven't seen a great deal of your personal level of interest in the draft this year so I don't know how far down you go this time.

Completely random question out of left field. Have you seen much of Wake Forest DE Duke Ejiofor? He was one of the guys I spent a ton of time on this weekend. Becoming one of my favorite rushers this year the more I see. He's a triple plus in the make up department, too. Was kind of hoping he'd fly under the radar for selfish reasons but he'll be a Senior Bowl kid so.......

Hey Pozz, I realized that I completely mixed up the player you were asking about when I originally answered this question. I saw Duke Ejiofor, and my brain thought "tweener," but I was thinking of the wrong tweener. My first response was about Marquis Haynes from Ole Miss.

Duke Ejiofor: too similar to Solomon Thomas for the Niners to draft IMO. Niners need either a speed rusher, an every-down DT like Christian Wilkinson or a big ole NT to play 30% of the snaps IMO. I don't see what Ejiofor would bring that players already on the roster don't already (like Armstead).

LB Matthew Thomas of FSU might be a decent, late-round prospect for the Will position.

I don't think we can address and fix all of our holes in one draft. Besides Chubb and Key there aren't that many "great" edge rushers in this year's class that I'd be very happy to draft. Key's stock has taken a hit, so perhaps we can move back 4/6 spots and draft him then? I like Josh Allen but only in the second round, and even then I think he'd be better off making a position switch. He's not better than Armstead.

Sick would love the idea of drafting Nelson in round 1 and this fellow here in round 2:

Billy Price - C - Buckeyes

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah wrote that Ohio State redshirt senior OL Billy Price is "one of the best center prospects I’ve seen in the past decade."

"I gave Price the same grade I gave (Nick) Mangold when he entered the league, and Mangold ended up being a first-round selection," Jeremiah writes. The analyst also grades him higher than Vikings C Pat Elflein, who is currently in the midst of a rock-solid rookie season. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder was a unanimous All-American for the past season and won the Rimington Trophy (given to the nation's best center) for his fine efforts. He's going to be selected in the first round come the spring draft -- it's just a matter of how high he climbs.

Don't forget peeps we do have a 2nd rd pick via NO. Just in case some forgot and say our 2nd is already gone.

I won't not be mad at a G/C duo..

in fact there are plenty of what ifs that I wouldn't be mad at(unless we trade back way too much down for my liking)

NO's second rounder is too low, 40 range... Not sure Billy would still be available. Billy could very well end up being selected at the bottom of the first round, if not he's definitely would be off the board within picks 31-38

I thought that was common knowledge, we've been able to trade up 3 years in a row now. It's becoming the norm for us.

Having said that, I'd much prefer the trade up be for a WR by the name of Christian Kirk.

Yeah, I think he has the highest ceiling of any of the centers in the draft. Last year I thought the dude from Michigan was playing better than Price, but Price is the better athlete.

I really like Frank Ragnow, who's a guard, but I think he could play C. Like him more than Price. And he has the greatest name ever; it sounds like he's a cop from a 70s TV show. :D

Parris Campbell - WR - Buckeyes

According to Pro Football Focus, Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell averaged 13.0 yards after the catch, tops in the nation.

Not only did Campbell lead all FBS players in his YAC, as the kids like to say, he also had 87 percent of his yardage come after the catch, which was fourth best in the nation. Once the ball is in the redshirt junior's hands, his speed and ability to make people miss make him a threat to score. He could be one of the first wideouts off the board if he decides to enter the draft.

D.J. Chark - WR - Tigers

LSU Senior WR D.J. Chark accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Chark caught only 35 passes this season -- less than three a game -- but still was able to pick up 811 yards on a ridiculous 23.2 yards-per-catch. With a 6-foot-3, 198-pound frame and top-end speed, he's currently projected to be an early day-two selection, but in a weak draft class, he could sneak into round one, especially if he plays well at the Senior Bowl.

Josh Allen - QB - Cowboys

NFL Media's Mike Mayock believes Wyoming QB Josh Allen would "have a lot to gain" if he attended the Senior Bowl.

Allen is only a redshirt junior, but he is working to graduate this month in order to be eligible. The Senior Bowl already has five quarterbacks on the roster, but they have hosted as many as eight. Allen plus Baker Mayfield would really elevate the group.

Vita Vea - DL - Huskies

Washington redshirt junior DL Vita Vea is college football's most talented run stopper, according to Daniel Jeremiah.

PFF sides with Maurice Hurst, Ed Oliver and Harrison Phillips among interior blockers, but Vea certainly ranks up there. He's a massive human who moves well for his size. The question is if Vea can be more than a run defender, as rushing the passer is more important at the NFL level.

Mason Cole - C - Wolverines

Michigan senior C Mason Cole accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Cole (6'5/287) has long been considered one of the best interior lineman prospects in the class. He's tall for a center, but he's also played other positions on the line, which gives him versatility scouts/front-office members crave. He currently projects as a day-two selection, and will look to get into first-round consideration.

If Nelson is out of reach, I may have to get back on the Saquon Barkely bandwagon. That guy is not human. I'm guessing he's got more HGH in his body than The Rock & David Boston combined. :o

Solid prospect. Extremely high floor. Not sure about his ceiling. But he'll be a good C at least.

Arden Key - DL - Tigers

LSU junior edge rusher Arden Key (knee/finger) has been ruled out for the Citrus Bowl.

Key (6'6/255) has not practiced this month due to a knee injury sustained in early November. He's also on the mend from right pinky finger surgery. The future NFL defensive lineman managed just 33 tackles (5.5 for loss) and four sacks this season, missing four games due to injury. He entered the campaign rehabbing from offseason shoulder surgery. While Key is a potential top-10 pick come the spring draft, these various surgeries and injuries are going to put a spotlight on him when it comes to medical checks at the NFL Scouting Combine.
