Yeah, it's been a major issue all year. Both Lacy & Rawls have been hot garbage & inactive for the most part. J.D. McKissic & Mike Davis (Both Practice Squad players) have been starting. It's bad.

Did you see the Mike Silver hitjob on the Seahawks? Talking about how Sherman, Chancellor, Avril, Graham are likely to be gone, and that Earl Thomas could be right behind them. Also there was some funk between Thomas and Bobby Wagner on twitter..

What a depressing season for me, my 2 favorite teams are underachieving and dont have any obvious answers to their problems

And then my other teams I root for (Browns, Texans) are going through their own crap too.. not a good year for my non-fantasy squads :/

Didn't read Silver's piece. I rarely read that national stuff. As I've learned with the Cowboys, most of those national people take what they want from the locals and spin it to their purposes (which is why I despise Rapoport and Schefter so much). So I stick with the local scribes and rely on you guys who are fans to provide me the inside stuff (which of course I am happy to return in kind when it comes to my heroes).

I did read the stuff on Wagner and Thomas. You damn sure don't want that garbage between two of your mainstays (and two guys you presume will be here next season). You figure Sherman is gone... and with tough salary choices for the others (as well as getting help on that crummy O-Line) you assume there has to be changes there. I find it hard to believe Chancellor is going anywhere. That dude along with Thomas and Wagner are the hearts of the defense. Injuries or no... those are guys you figure out how to keep. Carroll and Schneider have a lot of work to do. But you do have a QB. That tends to make their job a little easier.

The media is so reactionary & always has a hot take. I very much doubt Kam is gone. He just signed an extension btw. Earl & Bobby arent going anywhere. They'll be fine. Mike Silver is a clown.

Exactly. The media is always trying to stir **** up. Create drama. It's BS. It's why I never watch CNN or the news. It's straight garbage. Why do you think Blowhard's like Skip Bayless & Stephen A. are employed?

We fans of Dallas sports were ecstatic when Skip was fired from his local gigs and grudgingly moved on. I’m sure as hell not interested in his rantings at a national level. And more than a few of my Philly buddies said the same of SAS.

It’s assclowns like Schefter and Rapoport (and I guess Silver) that I loathe. As much as a guy like Mort works his tail off to get his stuff right and give credit to the local guys when he uses their stuff, those other three are muckrakers that spend too much time throwing crap at the wall in the remote chance something sticks. Rapoport is still waiting for that video footage of Dez in the parking lot of a Dallas Walmart hitting a woman. And Schefter is still harboring hope that Favre will show up in Minnesota while every other reporter with a brain knows it ain’t happening.

FWIW, Silver's usually on point with these things..

And I dont think he's saying they'll cut Cam, he's saying that Cam's injury might be career threatening and he has a chance of not playing for the Seahawks in 2018, be via cut, or IR, or PUP

Well, they wouldn't cut Kam. Wouldn't be worth it anyway. Too much dead money.

Dumping Sherm would actually save the team 11 million against the cap. So, it doesn't take a genius to figure that Sherm might be on his way out. Meanwhile, Graham is a Free Agent. Letting him walk would save a good chunk of money as well. Avril is likely to call it quits. If he walks & they let Lane go (Which they will), it would clear another 12 million in cap space. They have options.

Haven’t followed Silver since I let go of my SI subscription years ago. He was solid back then so I’ll take your word on him. I would presume the local scribes have covered this already. I know that here in Dallas, the Morning News staff does an excellent job of covering all the local teams fairly and without a lot of cheerleading.

Silver is another in a long line that likes to speculate on stuff. Occasionally he'll report on actual news. But, he's not in regards to this story. I don't take what he has to say as credible.

Aaron Rodgers put on IR.

Green Bay isn’t beating Detroit.

RIP Cowboys Playoff chances.

Meh.

Bengals have been really bad, but this is the kind of game they can win. Still have talent and Detroit is not a great team.

Any scenario for those teams involve the Falcons losing to the Saints and Panthers (in ATL) which I guess could happen..

Lions lose Sunday
Cowboys beat Seahawks
Falcons lose to Saints

Cowboys beat Eagles
Falcons lose to Panthers

Honestly I think it's more likely that Detroit lose on Sunday than Atlanta lose out, but it's certainly possible. If the Rams get the 3 seed though, I would much rather play Detroit, that's for sure.

Oh - I can see the Falcons losing two. Division games are that way. But Hundley isn’t going to beat the Lions. I agree with you about getting the Lions in the playoffs though. They are 1st round fodder.

And the Bengals.... nah.

Hey, that's America's team you are talking about,  Cowboys are always a big draw and we have to pick up the slack in the money making department so the many scrub teams in the NFL can get a nice profit sharing check at the end of the year.
