Much ado about nothing. Don't think the Thomas trade (act of disloyalty) will weigh on Davis that much. Davis and Kyrie are tight. I'm sure Kyrie will pitch to him hard during All-Star game, and inform him about his desire to stick with C's long-term when contract is up soon. Davis will be staring at another .500 season, and the clincher should be how Kyrie tells Davis what a genius Stevens is and will maximize his talents.

Yeah I agree... However, in 2 years, Horford will be gone most likely and old

I like Tatum so much. But we'd never be able to keep him if we traded for Davis. Those two guys will never play together on the same team. Except maybe in the All-Star Game.

It doesn't have to be this season. There are things Boston can do to add medium-size salary to their books by next season's trade deadline or next summer -- use DPE and re-sign player in summer, re-sign Smart, MLE, etc.

I would love us to keep Horford. He might even re-sign for way less once his contract is up to remain with a contender.

This would be the sort of trade Ainge could pull off with me shaking my head in the beginning. I can't stand the though of getting rid of both Tatum and Brown. Maybe sub in Horford for Tatum? Either way it's why he's a great GM.

I am also scared of Davis' injury history. Wonder if some discount could be had with that....probably not though.

What i got from this article - Davis basically doesn't believe he can win anything with Pels but at the same time he doesn't want to stir up Pels fans by saying all the usual "I love the city and i want to win with this team blah blah..."

He is probably going to leave in 2020 when he can bolt judging from his comments about winning(and his Tim Duncan personality type), but I doubt they listen to offers until next season's trade deadline.

Wouldn't be surprised if Tatum is already in the untouchable zone considering his cost controlledness and median outcome.

Baynes, Smart, Morris, Rozier, Yabusele + Semi works salary cap wise.
You don't have to trade Horford and theoretically neither Tatum nor Brown but we know that will not happen.

I dont think you truly appreciate how much it would take to get AD. He's signed through 2021 and he's still only 24. They'd want the world for him or they'll sit on him for a while and try to make it work

Regardless though, even if they want Brown+Tatum+LAL pick+small assets, putting together Kyrie-Hayward-Horford-AD with both Kyrie-AD still being that young is super hard to pass up.
