AD can turn down his player option and join free agency at the same time Al's original contract is up. Two seasons, simple. That's two seasons of LeBron aging and GSW having to decide if paying massive luxury and repeater taxes makes fiscal sense when the penalties really kick in.
If he's meant to be then be patient.
