I'm flattered.

But, no.

I am a fan of his, though.

I bet you are a fan of his...I'm my #1 fan too..;-)

I used to listen to him but can't take it anymore...he's trips over his words like he's falling down an escalator...he stated that he was a Hawks fan since 2004 or so...that's fine but then he acts like he witnessed the Nique era....STAY IN YO LANE SUN..no mas on his podcasts for me...well since last summer lol...also feel he's an X squawker that had to do with some major conspiracies...

Ps If this is you...carry on ur doing a great job B...

Why would you be flattered? That Brad guy is a no-talent hack.

{pauses to see if he takes the bait.}

Ah, I'm just kidding. I know nothing of this Brad person ... who we're now convinced is Jamaaaaliver.

No the guy knows his stuff...for the most part...but I had to stop listening when he wasn't sold on Collins and when he said Dennis wasn't a top 100 player in the league....and he covers the Hawks...

I understand he can't be biased but how the heck is Dennis NOT a top 100 guy. Anyways that and half the time I don't understand what he's saying because he runs all over his words...

He reminds me of that basketball show on nbatv with those 4 Canadian nerds...Rowland is cut from the same cloth as those hippies.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!!

(And yes, his brain spits out words more quickly than his mouth can articulate them.) :sour:

Fun fact: I was a part of the movement that got his predecessor...re-assigned.

I like him though I think he's a cool cat...

I know after all that but that's kind of the way I speak..from the heart like a less ballsy Antonio Montana.

I like his articles okay but I can't listen to his podcasts anymore. His opinions are fine; agree with some, disagree with some - whatever. But he does this lip smacking or mouth whetting thing sometimes that just makes me cringe. Plus listening to these in depth podcasts this year especially seems like overkill; I watch all the games but doing analysis on a ton of new players and players that won't be here next year in a last-in-the-NBA year is just overkill and a waste of my free time. I will wait until Collins et al are a little more refined and we are able to get into the playoffs before I feel like that kind of dedication is warranted.

Ps also from another thread, I see your PMs people, just can't respond for some reason

Nah, not even halfway there yet. But you just wait, Spud. I'm preparing a PM barrage for you, the likes of which have not been witnessed in the modern technological era!

But back on Rad Brad Rowland, his articles are much better than his podcasts which seem to really reach at times for content.(kinda like my posts in trying to get to 100! Egad! What a silly rule!!!) anyway, against my better judgment I tuned in to BR's podcast about the Thunder game this morning while doing my morning "reading" on my throne. Was better than his usual ones. Shorter - only ~15 mins compared to his usual 25-30 mins like he used to do. not a bad analysis on the play of our guys in a game that was exciting and pretty fun to watch. Not going to start making a habit of listening again myself, but if you have 15-20 extra minutes on the can, consider giving it a listen.

Didn't know where else to put this.

Bo was a big name for a number of years among hawks fandom. He took over the Hawks True Hoop site and turned into the (now defunct) HawksHoop site.

He was a good kid who grew up to be a solid dude.

My sincerest condolences.

Never knew Bo. Condolences to his family and all his friends and everyone who knew him for sure. We joke a lot with one another on this site and others but we should always respect real life occurrences. RIP to Bo.

As the news makes its way around league circles, hopefully some good can come of this tragedy:

Brad kinda seems to talk down to fans in my opinion, like he is the all knowing basketball encyclopedia and authority on all things Hawks. I agree with him often, but yeah...its kinda annoying. His articles are good, his podcast is okay. He annoys me on twitter sometimes.

Agree with this. He’s only been following the Hawks since like 04...he needs to realize that his opinion is just one...and not a great one at that. I can’t take his speaking either. He’s falling down the damn stairs..

I've never followed him on twitter. Is that where most of the condescension is prevalent?

I have noticed he feels the need to defend himself against a lot of criticism on the podcast for being too much of a skeptic.

He's a drastic improvement on Kris Willis, the previous site runner who would openly attack commenters who disagreed with him (and block them from the site.)
