abrines is toast on defense and a) can't get open for shots and b) isn't good enough of a shooter even when he does. huestis is ok on defense but one of the worst offensive players in the nba. way worse than even dre. he has a serge ibaka level handle / passing / court awareness ability.

We may have back to back winners for dunk of the year.

under the radar development of late: raymond felton 22.5% usage and 47% ts the last ten games. that's a high usage rate for a player who will be lucky to finish much higher than 50% ts on the year. abrines / huestis pairing not getting shots / being terrible forcing felton to shoot. he'd probably shoot less if he played with melo instead of george.

Was hoping the DET slide would continue and Presti could swipe Bradley

I think they stick with the George-bench look because it just make so much sense on paper. Gets George more freedom and possibly keeps him here longer during those stretches. Would seemingly help the benches defense. George is younger and can play the extra minutes.

Unfortunately he just blends in with them as opposed to Melo who treats them like his team with Felton and the New York Knicks.

I've always liked it better when either Melo or Adams starts the 2nd/4th with George.

Yeah, hopefully they use the Melo bench squad even for a few minute stretch each game. Even more important, IMO, is playing 2 of the 4 at all times. Probably do PG Adams Felton Huestis Grant and do WB Melo Patterson Abrines Dak.

Yeah,

I seriously don't understand having 0 minutes for Dak except when Adams is completely out of games. He overall has played well enough to be the 2nd units big. He's a bit slower of foot, if it hurts defensively then adjust during the games with Patterson or Grant. But I think the size is a big deal for them.
