The ridiculousness of this entire situation just blows my mind. These vagueness with regards to the nature of the injury, the vagueness of the sporadic status updates, the fact that they can't project a return timeline at this juncture, the fact that there hasn't been so much as a 3 second clip showing Markelle attempting a single jump shot...

Only the Philadelphia 76ers could navigate their way into such a laughably impossible situation. Sure there may be some validity to his injury, but IMO the fact that its ballooned into such a confusing mess is simply a byproduct of a poorly run organization.

Another day of practice footage, another day our healthy #1 overall pick isn't at least shooting around.

I'm telling you guys, when the next 3 week update comes, he will not be coming back, they will have another vague, bs excuse on him not being ready

if this doesn't out rage every single sixer fan, then consider yourselves part of the problem

The fans ought to show this joke of a franchise that we aren't standing for this anymore... boycott game or games, protest, something

this is BEYOND a joke, beyond unethical

Just speculating :

I wonder how much that left handed fiasco has contributed to the silence on Fultz. We were seeing videos of him going through drills and what not before the whole freak out about the shooting left handed thing came out and now you don't hear anything.

If he practices, they have to make him available to the media. Its clear they don't want that at this time.

In defense of the Sixers, they put their foot down and forced him to play at the start of the year. If it was up to them, he'd still be playing.

You can blame the Sixers for not properly vetting him (like Ainge did), but their hands were tied with a lot of what has gone on with Fultz's requested leave of absence.

Krazy, what can the Sixers really do, at this point?

They already basically threw him under the bus in saying that he was in playable condition from the getgo and that they never advised him to go and tinker with his shot. They can't go any further because they're trying to maintain a positive relationship with their investment.

He might be practicing, but they probably remove him before the media comes in.

Then stop rooting for the team. You're literally just trying to find things to be outraged about. No, this doesn't confirm that he is "NOT EVEN FREAKING PRACTICING!!!!" Shoot around is just a very small portion of the practice, the majority of which is not open to the media. You have no idea whether he is practicing or not. The only thing we do know is that he is not participating in the 5-5 portions, which is what would require him to be made available to the media.

Assuming it hasn’t been reported than he’s been cleared for 5 on 5 practices, that should be next, then maybe a short stint in the G league and then back to the Sixers.

How do teams decide the G league rehab? Is it just for guys coming back during the season? Or is it likely Fultz will come straight back to the Sixers?

Rarely do they actually play in the G league....they usually simply go and practice in a 5-5 setting with them and allow you to gauge there progress.

So we’re problably looking at a minimum of two weeks before a return to the court? Especially if he isn’t really practicing with the team yet.

Dec 9 they said he has no more pain/issues.....will be addressed in 3 weeks.

So 3 weeks is 21 days(give or take a few)....so at the earliest were probably looking for an update on Dec 30. I am FULLY expecting the next update to say some non-sense like "he has progressed well through revamped treatment and increased basketball activities, he will start to practice with the team and his status will be updated in 2-3 weeks based on his progressions."

I think were looking at right before the AS break, if at all. The lack of updates is worrisome IMO. Scott O'neill would never pass up an opportunity to try and create buzz to sell a few extra tickets.

hold on, what you are describing is fultz full on telling them he isn't going to play and they are being held hostage by him? First off, I dont think that's the case, but if it is, then fultz is the biggest **** I've ever seen, and the most pathetically mentally weak player maybe of all time...

now having said that, I cant possibly imagine that is what's happening. I absolutely believe part of this is fultz fault, but not to that extent

the sixers absolutely have plenty to do with this **** storm without a doubt, just like they always do and have with players past.

What do the sixers do? Well, lets see, they already proclaimed him 100% healthy, in which case he should be been sent on court to practice in some sort of capacity immediately, maybe the first week, then the next 2 weeks actually full practice, then be playing.

At that point, the sixers show they've done everything in a reasonable time line, and if there is any other issue, it is from fultz

If you are trying to save face with your draft pick who you own for the next 4 years, at that point you realize if this guy is conning us into not playing cuz he's a scared POS, then we screwed this draft pick up already and it doesn't really matter

this situation is legit so unbelievably stupid and pathetic and embarassing. This isn't simmons with a broken bone, this isn't embiid with a broken/cracked bone, this isn't Noel with a torn ACL... this is a freaking guy with muscle SORENESS, that is now 100% gone.

My god I would literally throw his ass out on the court and make his pathetic self play, and whatever social media ridicule comes from him shooting like a bum, will come from his own fault and his own doings, if he doesn't want to be made fun of, then he can learn to start shooting like he did in the past.

Words honestly can't even describe how pathetic a situation this is

Awesome, we have two number one picks who can’t figure out which hand to shoot with. Pardon me while I go have a few shots of Clorox.

which mean's he isnt returning at the end of this 3 week period, and he will be held out even LONGER, when hes already been declared 100% healthy

but please, tell me more about how we know nothing and how the team obviously is doing the right thing based off all their past history

That would be extremely bizarre. I mean, why would they not try to capitalize on Fultz actually practicing unless he looks like absolute dog ****. They have leaked videos of like every single player throughout the "process" of red-shirting players and now all of a sudden there a secretive society?

This just smells fishy to me. So disappointing. Hopefully I'm proved wrong, but i just can't see it happening with how our idiotic management allow things to operate.

If Fultz was throwing down dunks, draining step back jumpers and/or hesi- pull up jimbo's....you better believe the Sixers would have some theatrical trailer produced by M Night Shyamalan to try and build up some buzz.

Part of the reason why I've been drawing some conclusions only to be met with "YOU HATE FULTZ FOR THINKING THIS IS MORE THAN JUST AN INJURY!"

It's almost not worth engaging in conversation about it anymore because when he does return with, hopefully, his old shot back, there will be posters waiting for me with nails and a cross.

All Star break seems fair, right around it anyway. Anything long term after would probably mean the season.

No, just having fun. I fully expect to see Fultz become a serious contributor on this team in the near future, I just wish that future was a little more clearer.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
