First and last time I open this thread. I have no idea who started it and why, but it was just as a bad idea as giving him a contract.

McSanta rather.

He signed him to a contract he didn’t deserve and then is not making him play for it! What a Christmas bonus!

What did he get? A million dollars?

He is and will be a nice backup PG.
I cant expect more from a team who cannot be loyalty. No respect to Dragic, Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, Amare( when he came back as an opponent)and many others, who played good enough and give more than what we deserve as an organisation.

We have a big problem with those who runs our team, behind closed doors and we need to change our profile to players in NBA. No-one from the stars or superstars, wants to sing a contract with us as.

I hope James, find a better spot in NBA or someone else and i wish him the best.

So you are saying we owe loyalty to Mike James because of how players in the NBA view us? So, when Dudley openly tweets that the Suns need to sign Canaan for the rest of the year, and we let him walk instead of James--what do you think that says to the players on your team and in the league? It would say that the Suns are a bush league team that is more interested in tanking than winning. Believe me. Cutting James for Canaan does not hurt us at all with players in the league.

As Bruce Arians said "The quickest way to lose a locker room is to give playing time to players who have not earned it."

Isaiah Canaan came in because of an injury to Devin Booker and beat out Mike James for his job--fair and square. This is how sports work at every level. Players understand it and are used to it.

I'm pretty surprised you guys cut him.. I cant say I watched that much of him, probably the 2 games we played you guys and then random spots. That being said he did really well against the Kings and I figured he would make a decent backup in this league..

Did Canaan just outplay him or possibly because hes a better 3pt shooter?

Canaan just plays team Ball. Mike James does not. What you're hearing about Mike James from suns fans is true on the GB. Blackhole on offense, looks to create for himself only but can't even convert, etc.

I cannot see how some of you say Mike James didn't earn his NBA minimum contract, when he definitely led to some wins, and overall has outplayed Ulis this season. Not saying that I would rather have him over Ulis in the rotation for valid aforementioned reasons, but I don't see him on the net negative level of past chuckers like Knight, Shannon Brown, and Michael Beasley. Especially given that this is his rookie season. Besides didn't they have a few more months before the injury exception was waived? Just doesn't really add up to waive him just a couple of weeks after his contract was converted.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened on his request. With Canaan's arrival and good play James saw his role would be smaller and asked to be released to look for a better opportunity. Or this could be character issues. I know I'm not mad about letting him go, he was just Knight 2.0 to me.

It’s exactly as Triano said. Mike is a scorer. They don’t need that. Isaac is a better distributor and defender. Just a better fit. Clearly.

Mike James got to play in the big time and collect some dough. He also got some exposure. Good for him. Moving on.

It might of been somewhat of a joke/sarcastic post with an acronym built into it, yet the OP did say he wanted him to start and play 30 minutes, and does get extremely high on guys sometimes after a game or two (eg, DJJ) so maybe that either though the acronym was fitting, it was thought he still played well or a completely sarcastic post.

For a little while he got to live his dream of making onto an NBA team. If he is lucky someone might pick him up where he can earn a spot as a back up combo guard.

He is bad at that as well. 3rd stringer at best. Dunno why there is all this hype of our own **** players. I get it - we are fans, as in "fanatic". But please try see a bit more realistic wether it comes to MJ, Ulis, Sauce, DJJ, etc...
